Doctor Update
Hey Dead by Daylight Team,
I’m a big fan of your game and I main Doctor. I don't want him to get some huge, game-breaking buff. Your fanbase is made of a lot of teens and young adults, which is why people sometimes play a Killer for the cool factor and atmosphere rather than just who is the strongest.
With that in mind, I think it would be really cool and balanced if Doctor got two new additions focused on theme and late-game scaling:
1. Dynamic Madness Scaling (Atmospheric Audio & Late-Game Buff)
The Idea: As the match goes on (or as generators are completed), Doctor's breathing and laughing slowly get heavier, louder, and more intense. As gens get done and survivors get closer to escaping, he gets less laughter and more frantic breathing.
The Balance: To match this build-up, Doctor gets a tiny scaling bonus to his madness output. For example, gaining an extra 3% to 5% madness per shock in the late game (which would bring his madness shock from doing 0.5 madness scale to 0.515 madness scale). It’s a very minor math tweak that makes his power feel more reliable when the pressure is high, without being oppressive early on.
2. Overcharged Fury (Endgame Roar)
The Idea: When the exit gates power up or the hatch opens, Doctor does a massive, distorted "Springtrap-style" static roar in his own voice.
The Balance: This roar forces all survivors (with either tier II or Tier III madness) on the map to scream, giving you their location. However, overloading his system like this inflicts Doctor with a 10% Hindered penalty for 3 seconds. (Thematically, his rage pushes him past even the entity’s limits for a second, but he hurts himself in the process). It gives the Killer great information, but the self-slow ensures survivors still have a fair head start to escape if they are already at the gates.
The Mechanics: This would be a one-time thing when either all generators are powered or 3 survivors are sacrificed/mori and the hatch powers for the last one (standard counterplay perks like Calm Spirit would still work).
Also, I’m sure you probably know this like the back of your hand, but a tweak or update like that will have popular social media creators like Demi-plays try out the new update, therefore creating a “surge” of people playing/buying doctor or cosmetics. I looked into it and it should relative cheap since Alex Lin also works at Behavior.
