Rework Ghostface
1. New Power: "Fear Meter" (Replacement for Stalking)
Instead of standing still to stalk, Ghostface gains "Fear" by actively pursuing survivors. The longer a chase continues, the more the victim is affected:
- 0-50%: No mechanical penalties.
- 50-70%: Survivors begin to experience subtle audio/visual cues, causing panic.
- 70-90%: Survivors suffer from movement penalties and their aura-reading abilities are blocked, isolating them from their team.
- 100%: The survivor becomes fully "Exposed" for a short duration, allowing Ghostface to down them in one hit.
Why this works: It rewards the killer for actually chasing survivors rather than hiding behind cover, making his gameplay much more aggressive and fluid.
2. New Ability: "The Copycat" (Deception)
Ghostface can spawn an AI-controlled duplicate of himself. This clone cannot attack, but it mimics his animations and movements to confuse the survivor.
Why this works: This leans into the mystery of Scream. Imagine a survivor turning a corner and seeing two Ghostfaces: one chasing them, the other moving in a different direction. It creates genuine confusion and psychological tension.
3. Closing Thoughts
I believe these changes would make Ghostface feel less like a "hide-and-seek" killer and more like a true horror threat. It shifts the gameplay away from the current "reveal" frustrations and towards a high-pressure, mind-game-heavy experience that fits the movie franchise perfectly.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! Do you think a "Fear" mechanic combined with a "Clone" ability would make him more fun to play as and against?
