The graphics update has me worried it will leave some PC and PS4/Xbox users behind
Like my title says, I am very worried about this upcoming graphics update. Not all of us can afford to upgrade our PCs, or a PS5/XboxS so what will happen to us? Can we get some reassurance from BHVR that this is being taken into account?

Except this is a 2016 game, not a 2027 game.

It's bizarre to see people arguing against graphical improvements and game improvments. It's no secret that technology becomes obsolete quickly; doesn't anyone consider this? Instead of just complaining, people should organize themselves and upgrade when the time comes. If this isn't a priority for them, or if they don't want to spend money on it because of a game, the fault doesn't lie with the company that wants to evolve. People are acting as if they're starving and don't even have money for food. Save your weekend expenses, your fast food, etc., reschedule your spending, and upgrade in a year and a half. If you can't do it now, there's still time. Will people organize themselves? No, they just want to complain. There's plenty of time to reorganize; will they do it? No, they'll spend on nonsense, and when the change comes, they'll just grumble.
Their comments at the event re DBD2 seem to indicate they know the game is dated. Their reasoning for not going the DBD 2 route is sound (and appreciated) but the fact that they were considering it shows they want to meet modern standards. They could give us a 2027 game in the form of DBD 2, but instead they're giving us the next best thing by evolving this one instead.
You seriously cannot spare 20 bucks (game routinely goes on sale for 5) for a game you have been playing for 3 years?
It will be announced and released next year, probably late 2027.
Sony Console cycles are 7 years.
2006 for PS3
2013 for PS4
2020 for PS5.
You seem to misunderstand that for some it's not just $20. Even cross progression doesn't go both ways with Nintendo. If you are on Switch, Nintendo won't let your DLCs transfer. Not a problem if you are going from PC to PS5 or Xbox or whatever. But if you are coming from Nintendo, nope.
Fair enough, i was more of an xbox and nintendo person for consoles after the PS2 since xbox had online and system link play, though now i mostly play PC and have a PS5 for a few console exclusives.
