Implementation of Custom and Purchasable Alternate Mori Animations
Dear Dead by Daylight Development and Community Teams,
I am writing to share a feature proposal that I believe could significantly enhance player immersion while creating a highly profitable, long-term revenue stream for Behaviour Interactive: Selectable and Purchasable Alternate Mori Animations.
Currently, character customization is limited to outfits, weapons, and charms. While these are excellent, the Mori animation remains static for each Killer. After years of gameplay, seeing the exact same animation can become repetitive for veteran players.
Proposed Implementation:
Customization Slot: Introduce a dedicated slot within the Killer Loadout/Customization menu allowing players to select their preferred Mori animation.
Alternative Animations: Develop premium, alternate finishing moves for each Killer. For instance, an alternative Mori for the Oni could feature a different choreography utilizing his kanabo and katana in a distinct, high-impact sequence.
Monetization Model: These alternate Moris could be sold in the In-Game Store as premium cosmetic items purchasable via Auric Cells, similar to Legendary Sets.
Benefits for the Game:
Increased Revenue: Visual finishers are highly sought-after cosmetics in modern multiplayer games. Players who main specific Killers would gladly invest in new ways to execute Survivors.
Enhanced Longevity & Immersion: It refreshes the gameplay experience for both Killers and Survivors, making every match feel unique and unpredictable.
Zero Pay-to-Win Impact: This feature is strictly cosmetic, ensuring it does not disrupt the competitive balance of the game.
Thank you for your time and for your continuous efforts in expanding the Dead by Daylight universe. I look forward to hearing the community's and the team's thoughts on this business and feature opportunity.
