I genuinely can't tell when the game will or won't let me scamper, he feels buggier than houndmaster and maybe even on par with Twins whenever a survivor drops a pallet mid dash, because it either makes me vault it in the middle of their vault animation, doesn't let me vault it and i hit the pallet with my knife, or the third funniest option is that I vault it unintentionally in the middle of a chase and give the survivor an extra 20 seconds of hold W distance because he's 110 at all times.

make me have to press the spacebar/vault key mid-dash instead, it'll make it so much easier to fake a vault then slide around loops, or hit survivors faking a vault without getting Wesker'd
