Five Nights At Freddy's Chapter 2 (The Mimic!)
I decided to make a concept for the FNAF chapter in which I’m 80% confident will be The Mimic if it ever happens.
🎬 Dead by Daylight | New Killer: The Mimic
An unpredictable, psychological powerhouse that strips away the survivors' HUD and adapts to the trial using a variety of rusted mascot suits.
- Base Outfit: The Factory Endoskeleton (Secret of the Mimic / SOTM)
- Legendary Skin: The Ruined Endoskeleton (FNAF Ruin)
🪓 Core Map Mechanics: Total Sensory & HUD Deprivation The Mimic weaponizes the user interface and basic audio cues to gaslight the survivors, creating complete isolation.
- The Fake Healthy UI: The survivor HUD completely lies to the team. It shows everyone as 100% healthy the entire match. Survivors must physically look at their teammates to see if they are actually bleeding or injured. (The HUD will still accurately show the entity's claws if a survivor is currently being chased, and it will properly display the Obsession icons).
- The Silent Disappearance: There are zero loud notifications, hook bubbles, or map-wide survivor screams when someone gets caught or hooked. The Survivors only know someone is hooked if they happen to see their glowing aura in the distance.
- Voice Mimicry: The Mimic steals the actual audio clips of the survivors in the current lobby, throwing its voice around corners to mimic their groans of pain and bait teammates into traps.
⚙️ Core Gameplay Loop: Dual-Form Terror The killer constantly shifts the pacing of the match by swapping between two distinct states.
- The Initial Activation Condition: When the match starts, the Enforcer Form and all mascot suits are completely offline and locked. To boot up its systems for the first time, the Mimic must land 1 successful basic attack in its base Stalker Form. Once that single hit connects, the mascot suits are permanently unlocked for the rest of the match, and the 30-second cooldown loop begins.
- Stalker Form (The Base Endo): The default state when not wearing a mascot suit. A lanky, skeletal frame with a medium/far terror radius. As it gets close, the heartbeat drops into total, dead silence. It has no traditional chase music; instead, the actual map ambience (wind, rain, industrial hums) gets slightly deeper and more distorted, making the environment itself your warning. It has soft, heavy footsteps that get easily masked by loud generators.
- Enforcer Form (The Mascot Suit): This second form only activates when the killer actively forces its endoskeleton into a mascot costume. After meeting the initial activation condition, it enters a suit, loses all stealth, stomps loudly, and triggers a massive, terrifying, unique chase theme—gaining the specific subclass power tied to that costume.
- The Ejection & Cooldown Balance: The Enforcer Form lasts for a set duration of 70 seconds, but the Mimic can manually eject from its suit at any moment to instantly return to its base Stalker Form. Once the Enforcer Form ends or is manually exited, the power goes on a flat 30-second cooldown before a suit can be entered again.
🎭 The Costume Sub-Class System (Cosmetic Stat Modifiers) Every unique cosmetic suit the Mimic wears alters the stats and abilities of the Enforcer Form only, introducing highly replayable sub-classes. They can be accessed at designated stations around the map, and the suits consist of:
- The Tiger Suit (Agility Build): Permanent speed boost (faster than standard killers), but his lunge distance is cut in half.
- The Lion Suit (Brute Build): Gains a built-in Brutal Strength effect (20% faster pallet, wall, and generator breaking), but moves a tiny bit slower than the base Stalker form.
- The Elephant Suit (Tank/Instadown Build): Attacks cause instant downs on healthy survivors. He gains a massive 10% stun resistance from pallets/flashlights and a shorter successful hit cooldown, but he moves a decent bit slower than standard killers and his footsteps are deafeningly loud.
- The Bird Suit (Anti-Loop Build): 15% faster window vaults to shut down infinite loops. However, looking out of the clunky bird mask significantly narrows your Field of View (FOV), and your successful attack cooldown is increased by a very small 5%.
- The Jackie Suit (Sniper/Zoning Build): Legless and painfully slow to move normally, but can shoot out his arm as a long-range sniper projectile to catch survivors across entire loops.
- The Dolly Suit (Tracking/Debuff Build): Gains a short-range aura-reading ability to see survivors who are healing behind walls, and inflicts severe Mangled and Hemorrhage debuffs upon hitting them until healed.
🗺️ New Map: Murray's Costume Manor
- Realm: Fall Line, 1979
- Description: A dark, grimy, converted production warehouse where Edwin Murray originally built the Mimic. The center of the map features a massive, multi-level assembly room with a heavy mechanical crane arm, where clanking machinery naturally masks the Mimic's soft footsteps. The upper levels are a maze of tight ventilation shafts, catwalks, and storage closets filled with empty mascot suits hanging from chains, creating total visual paranoia for survivors.
🧬 Teachable Killer Perks
1. Hex: False Security This perk punishes survivors for feeling safe near completed generators, using their own progress against them as a deadly endgame threat.
- During the Match: Every time a generator is completed, a 30-meter zone activates around it. Any survivor inside that zone gets a 5% Hindered penalty.
- The Endgame Twist: If this Hex totem is still standing when the exit gates are powered, it instantly curses every single completed generator on the map permanently. The penalty jumps to a brutal 12% Hindered status within those 30-meter zones.
- Flavor Text: "It was built to mimic human behavior. It was never meant to look at us like that." — Edwin Murray
2. System Boot This perk directly attacks the survivor's screen, cutting off critical HUD information during high-pressure moments.
- How it works: When you hook a survivor, the Entity corrupts the survivors' screens for 25/30/35 seconds.
- The Effect: For the duration, survivors cannot see any progress bars whatsoever (repairing, healing, unhooking, sabotaging, totem cleansing, recovering, etc.). Additionally, their item charges (flashlight battery, medkit durability, toolboxes) are completely hidden from the HUD.
- Flavor Text: "Systems offline. Emergency protocols locked. It has taken over the mainframe." — Maintenance Log #1979
3. System Malfunction A realistic, mechanical trap that punishes greedy survivors and leaves them completely vulnerable.
- How it works: After you kick a generator, the next survivor who touches it gets hit with a difficult skill check. If they fail it, the generator doesn't just explode—it gets blocked by the Entity's claws for 13/16/20 seconds.
- The Twist: While that generator is blocked, the aura of that specific survivor is revealed to you, and they suffer from the Blindness and Oblivious status effects for 25 seconds.
- Flavor Text: "Don't trust the tools. Don't trust the noise. The metal is listening." — Hidden Graffiti
🎒 Featured Unique Add-ons

I’ve yet to fully flesh out a few things, and I’m
missing quite a few addons, but I feel like you get the main idea!
Comments
I didn’t have a good idea on how to lean into the Idea of mimicry itself, as SWFS and such would insanely counter him, so I kept it in his kit to a smaller degree and added the suit gimmicks so he’ll be more then just an M1 killer.
