Killer Concept – The Broodmother

Killer Name: The Broodmother
Type: Original Killer (non-licensed)

Lore:
Before the Entity took her, she was once a woman who lived deep in the forest, far away from civilization. People whispered strange rumors about her. Animals avoided her home, and travelers sometimes claimed they saw webs stretching between the trees.

Over time, something changed her. The forest around her became silent, and those who entered never returned. When the Entity found her, it saw a perfect predator — a mother of endless hunger, guarding her nest and hunting anyone who came too close.

Now she stalks the trials as The Broodmother, weaving webs, trapping prey, and feeding her growing nest.

Power – Nest of the Brood

The Broodmother can place web nests around the map.

Survivors who run through webs become slowed and briefly revealed by Killer Instinct.

The Broodmother can spawn small spider minions from her nests.

These spiders crawl toward nearby survivors and apply a small hindered effect or force them to remove the web.

Survivors can destroy nests, but doing so takes time and leaves them vulnerable.

This allows the Broodmother to control areas of the map and trap survivors.

Weapon

Barbed Spider Limbs – Sharp, claw-like limbs used to slash survivors.

Perks

  1. Mother’s Hunger

Your instinct to protect your brood drives you forward.

When a survivor is hooked, all other survivors within 24 meters suffer from the Oblivious status effect for 20 seconds.

  1. Tangled Escape

No one escapes the web easily.

After a survivor performs a fast vault, their movement speed is reduced by 5% for 6 seconds.

This perk has a 20 second cooldown.

  1. Growing Nest

The Entity rewards your patience.

Each time a survivor is hooked for the first time, you gain 1 token.

Each token slightly increases generator regression speed when kicking generators.

Maximum: 4 tokens

Playstyle

The Broodmother is a map-control killer who slowly turns the trial into her hunting ground. Survivors must choose between removing webs or risking getting trapped.

hab das desighn nochmal geändert The Broodmother has a disturbing half-human, half-spider appearance.

Her upper body still resembles a woman, but it is pale, thin, and slightly twisted. Her lower body has transformed into a large spider abdomen with long, sharp legs extending from her back and sides. These legs move in quick, unsettling motions, giving her a predatory spider-like stance.

Her hair is long, dark, and tangled, often hanging over her face like strands of web. Small pieces of webbing cling to her body, and tiny spiders occasionally crawl across her shoulders and arms.

Her face is partially human, but distorted. She has several small glowing eyes instead of just two, and her mouth reveals sharp spider-like fangs.

Her skin looks cracked and hardened in places, almost like chitin. Thin strands of webbing trail behind her when she moves.

Movement

The Broodmother does not walk normally. She crawls forward in a slightly hunched position, with her spider legs assisting her movement. When she spots a survivor, her legs spread outward like a hunting spider preparing to strike.

Sound Design

Her movement is accompanied by the quiet clicking and scratching of spider legs. Occasionally faint whispering or skittering sounds can be heard, as if many small spiders are moving around her.

Mori – “Feeding the Brood”

The survivor collapses to the ground.

The Broodmother slowly approaches and pins the survivor down using two of her spider legs. She pulls the survivor closer while thin strands of web begin to wrap around their body.

Suddenly, dozens of small spiders crawl out from beneath her abdomen and begin swarming over the trapped survivor.

The survivor struggles as the spiders rapidly cover them while the Broodmother continues wrapping them in thick webbing.

Finally, she leans down and delivers a deadly bite with her fangs.

The camera pulls back as the spiders retreat, leaving behind a tightly wrapped cocoon where the survivor once was.
