Humanoid Robot Killer Concept: “The Protocol”
Hi guys, i'm new to the Forum, but i wanted to present this idea of a robotic Killer.
Killer Concept – “The Protocol”
Theme: Futuristic Surveillance / Escalation / Psychological Pressure
Appearance:
A humanoid killer robot with a silver or black body, glowing red eyes, and a clean industrial design. The idea is to embody the classic fear of an autonomous machine – cold, precise, and unstoppable.
Base Stats
- Movement Speed: 4.0 m/s
- Terror Radius: Standard (32M)
- Height: Normal
Power – Scanning Mode
The killer can hold the power button to enter a scanning stance.
While scanning:
- Movement speed starts slow (similar to Myers' stalking).
- A rectangular scan field appears in front of the killer.
- If a survivor enters the field, the rectangle gradually shrinks and the killer gains speed.
- The killer cannot perform a basic attack while in this mode.
- The killer can vault pallets during this mode.
- Losing the target(s) slowly regresses the scanning progress.
Maximum Scan Speed
Once maximum speed is reached:
- The killer can grab a survivor, visually scanning them.
- This triggers a short minigame for the killer.
- During the hold the killer is locked in place. A growing scanning circle reveals nearby survivors with Killer Instinct and applies Exposed.
If the killer wins the minigame:
- The survivor gains Scan Status – Tier I and is released. The killer is shortly locked in place "processing the information".
If the killer loses the minigame:
- The killer gets stunned briefly (malfunctioning) and the survivor escapes the hold.
Scan Status System
- Killer gains a 5% speed boost within 32 meters of a survivor with at least Tier I
- Hooking a survivor triggers a brief scan animation, granting a 10% speed boost for 15 seconds, reduced by 5% per Scan Tier the hooked survivor has.
Tier I
- For each survivor in Tier I the killer gains +0.2 m/s base speed.
- Scan-grabbing a Tier I survivor is blocked until you hook them, instead you can M1 them.
Grabbing and scanning a Tier I survivor again upgrades them to Tier II.
Tier II
- Within 16 meters of a Tier II survivor, pallets cannot stun the killer. Instead, a brief animation plays where the killer physically halts the pallet without breaking it.
- The killer vaults 7.5% faster for each living Tier II survivor.
- When scanning a Tier II survivor to max speed, the killer can perform a normal basic attack instead of grabbing them.
Secondary Power – Phase Teleport Chain
While standing still, the killer can charge the secondary ability, giving an audible cue.
When charged:
- The killer must perform three short teleports in quick succession(the teleport range is fixed).
- Survivors see this as an extremely fast sprint with a “phased” visual effect.
- Failing to complete all three teleports in time stuns the killer.
- Completing all teleports allows an immediate basic attack.
Scaling
- If all survivors are in Tier I, you can charge while slowly walking and are able to cancel it more quickly.
- If then two living survivors are in Tier II, the ability charges almost instantly.
Map Interaction – Server Terminals
A futuristic server rack spawns near each generator.
Survivors can interact with it via a minigame to remove Tier II, but:
- They are revealed by Killer Instinct.
- They become Exposed for 30 seconds.
Unique Perks
Perk 1 – “Observed Momentum”
When you see a survivor working on a generator, gain a 5% movement speed boost, once no survivor is seen working on a generator this boost remains for 15 seconds.
Perk 2 – “Mechanical Efficiency”
For each hook state across all survivors, you break generators, open/close lockers and grab survivors out of lockers 10% faster.
Perk 3 – “Standing Menace”
Standing still for 5 seconds grants a 5% movement speed bonus for 20 seconds. (This is not achievable near a hooked survivor)
A killer that rewards mastery and can feel unstoppable in skilled hands, while remaining fair and engaging for survivors. The goal is to modernize familiar mechanics and bring a timeless horror fantasy into Dead by Daylight with fresh strategic depth.
