If BHVR only nerfs Killer Addons based on userate and winrate, why do awful addons still exist?

As the title says.

BHVR has basically confirmed that they nerf Killer addons almost exclusively by looking at how popular those addons are (what % of matches use them) and if the Kill Rate increases while using those addons. Unknown has been a victim of this, with basically every good addon being gutted over and over.

So then… why are we still getting Blindness addons in 2025? Who the ######### is out here using Mangled/Hemmorage and performing at the same level as people using actually useful addons? Surely BHVR can see that certain addons or addon types are only used by people who literally just got a Killer and are just throwing on whatever they get first, and that once someone obtains an understanding, they drop these addons in favor of actually effective ones.

This also shows a huge flaw in the stats-based matchmaking, it probably doesn't take actual player skill level into account. For example, Springtraps addon that increases how long you were undetectable after leaving a door. It was a pretty solid addon before being gutted, but was it good enough to be swaying Springtrap kill rates by 5 or 10%? I don't think so. Rather, Springtrap players who are good at Killer in general are smart enough to avoid dogshit addons and pick out the most effective ones right away, compared to players with a lower Killer skill level across the board who just pick random things. Nerfing based on stats like this right after a Killers release is pretty stupid decision due to MMR not having enough time to settle everyone into the proper brackets anyways (not like MMR is good in the slightest, but if BHVR is gonna be using it to decide everything they might as well TRY to use it properly)

So yeah, if there's someone on this forum playing thousands of games with Blindness addons and 4king every single one, please stop doing that so BHVR doesn't think we actually like those addons.
