Surrender Command and New Hatch Mechanism!
The hatch system gives survivors a final chance to escape, but it is very luck-based, forcing killers looking for 4K to take a more reliable approach: slugging one of the last two survivors.
However, it's not a good idea to give the hatch to the survivors so easily, as there are achievements in the game that require 4K. Above all, the killer will not be happy about it.
So, to solve these problems, I came up with the idea of changing the hatch game to something less luck-based and less boring.
I have also come up with a system to prevent people from taking the game hostage, so please take a look at that too.
Let's get started!
Surrender Command
- When there are only 2 survivors left and you are dying, the Entitiy will start appearing on the screen.
- After 30 seconds, the command "Entrust" will appear, and if you choose to do so, you will be executed immediately by the Entity (like Collapse).
- Survivors who perform the Entrust action will receive a bonus in the cooperation category.
- When you select the Entrust if the other survivor does not have any items, the items you are carrying will be transferred to the other survivor.
Hatch Rework
- If the gate is not open and you are the last survivor, a Last Chance Collapse (LCC) will occur.
- When LCC begins, the hatch appears furthest from the survivors.
- While in LCC, Survivors can see the aura of hatches within 24m.
- The hatch will be closed by the Killer, but the Survivors can open it without a key in about 10 seconds.
- LCC time is 120 seconds.
- At the start of LCC and when the remaining time reaches 80, 40, and 20 seconds, the Killer will be able to see the Survivors' locations for 3 seconds using Killer Instinct.
- When there are 60 seconds left on the LCC, survivors will be able to open the gate even if it is not powered up (if it is already powered up, they can open it from the beginning).
- When there are 20 seconds left on the LCC, all gates will automatically open and a closed hatch will open.
- During LCC, the killer can mori survivors.
- When you exit the hatch, any items you were carrying will be lost.
- If the Endgame Collapse has already begun, the LCC will not be triggered even if you are the last person standing, and the hatch will appear in a random location, just like it does now.
- You can choose whether to enable LCC in the custom match lobby.
Crow Changes
- If no generators are completed to repair 120 seconds, Omen Crows will appear above all survivors.
- Omen crows are usually(dematerialized) translucent, silent, and invisible to the killer.
- Omen crows will materialize if no Survivor takes any of the following actions within 30 seconds of appearing or dematerializing, and will emit a chirp and periodic noise notification.
- Repair at least 20% of your generators.
- Enter into a chase with the killer.
- Performing a hook rescue
- Complete treatment for yourself or someone else.
- After materialization, if any survivor performs the above action, all Omen Crows will dematerialize.
- All Omen Crows disappear when any generators are complete to repair.
- When three normal crows gather on a survivor, they will no longer collide with the killer or survivors.
Change of key specifications
- Rare key
- When you have this, you can see the hatch's aura anywhere on the map.
- Hatches open 50% faster.
- Very rare key
- In addition to the effect of the Rare Key, it also nullifies detection by Killer Instinct during LCC except at the start of LCC.
- Ultra rare key
- In addition to the effect of the Rare Key, it also nullifies detection by Killer Instinct at the start of LCC.
Change of Memento Mori (Offering) specifications
- Uncommon memento mori
- During LCC, Survivors suffer from Exposed status.
- For each survivor killed with a Memento Mori, you gain 30% more BP after the match.
- Rare / Ultra Rare
- Current effect + Uncommon Memento Mori effect.
Perk Adjustments
- Left Behind
- Activated when LCC is started.
- When the perk active and your location is revealed by the Killer's Killer Instinct, you can see the Killer's aura for 3/4/5 seconds.
- When the perk is active, if you receive an attack that would cause you to die, you can survive the attack once, just like Mettle of Man. The perk is then deactivated.
That's all for the changes.

PS.
Perhaps the conditions for Omen Crow materialization should be considered.
We need to add conditions such as when there is a survivor who is dying or when there is a survivor hanging from a hook, or else the crow could interfere when the survivor is trying to do something.
Omen Crow should only be an external force to move a stopped match.
I've never liked the hatch mechanic. I've always preferred having like some sort of ultimate duel. "The Last Test" or something. Where an intense chase takes place in like some special entity place. You basically teleport to somewhere else and have cool things to work with during the chase. There's a timer and if you don't die during that time, you basically win the duel.
That is exactly what the LCC intends to do.
It is 1v1 with the last survivor.
Even if the hatch is closed and the killer captures you, you still have a chance to escape if you survive for almost 2 minutes.
1v1 with little luck is the hatch game I am looking for.
Yeah but I want to remove hatch as a whole. I want there not to be a chance to escape via an alternate way. I also think it would be more cool to teleport to some final destination as opposed to just staying on the same map.
I see, something like last year's Halloween event, for example?
I think it's good.
It would be good if the map was a little larger than that, with a few general loop positions.
It would be necessary to consider whether to limit the killer's abilities, but they already have the technology to implement separate maps, I think it will be better than the current Hatch game.
I'd actually love for the hatch to be removed. It's a mickey mouse win that artificially inflates the escape rates. It'd mean basekit buffs for survivors since removing it would drastically lower escape rates from where the devs want them. A gate escape is the most satisfying win in DBD and i'd love to see more of those in my matches.
I don't know of any data that shows how often survivors are able to escape when it comes to hatch games, but I think it is good to say that every last person has a chance left to escape.
A game where all the survivors crouch under the hook in a game where a gate escape is definitely not possible is not what I want to see, at least not in my opinion.
