Because everyone wants to play killer with their friends, and so the survivor side needs incentives so the ques aren't just killers
Not enough survs want to play this mode.
In my games it is mostly pretty annoying as surv. Huntress and Nurse combo aren´t that fun.
The incentives aren't just randomly given to a side to be nice, they're to try and encourage people to play that side because that side is lacking players and causing long queues times for the other side.
Killers have super long queue times in 2v8 because not many survivors are queueing up.
