Why don't they give other weak perks the Shadowborne treatment and rework them?
Chaos Shuffle proved many things, mostly that the meta is stale and there's so many perks that could be good both sides, but just don't do anything worthwhile to warrant running them.
Let's be honest, after a point nobody uses perks like Predator, Bloodhound, Beast of Prey, etc. Why couldn't they rework perks like these the way they reworked Shadowborne after the FoV slider was added to give haste on a Blind? Surely they could have some other benefit to using them besides just tracking and Undetectable.
In a similar vein, nobody uses perks like Borrowed Time (outmoded by off hook endurance) or Soul Guard (too niche and unreliable) at all. At least I never see them. Surely something could be done to update these perks and make them do something else to fix them for better use, open up more playstyles than just the meta that are good and valid, and allow better skill expression. I know it's a lot of work for BHVR, but why not change some of the less used perks to be better? They did for Furtive Chase and Background Player, both of those were success stories (In BGP's case TOO successful to the point it was lowkey meta). Why not more?
Let's open a discussion about this. What perks do you think, either side, need to change and be made better for the health of the game? What perks would you tell BHVR to buff or rework, and how?

Shadowborn is still bad, unfortunately.
I'd like to see more perk buffs in general though.
I agree, Shadowborne is still bad, but at least it does SOMETHING. Predator and Beast of Prey do literally nothing functional if you're halfway good at the game.
So basically rework bad perk to be different bad perks…
If all other perks are nerfed until they are no longer useful, they will be an option for use. Even this joke is realistic now after seeing the recent adjustments to BhVR's killer perk.
Soulguard definitely. And the other one from cheryl that involves the obsession, that thing is worthless lol id also change technician to actualy make the generator silent while you work on it along with your repair sounds, it might seem useless but could help with avoiding the killer coming to your generator because they hear it running. Changing around distortion might shake up the game due to all the aura reading perks and it being the only counter. The boons could all use a change as yoichis is almost useless unless paired with another. No mither could be changed as it often leads to entire rounds being cut short by tunneling And nobody would leave a no mither on the ground anyway so its just leaving urself injured with no benefit except saving time on heals and "while injured" perks. Trappers terror radius perk with the smaller skill checks is only usefull with the doctor or mixed with the clowns antiheal perk. Scratchmarks being closer together perk could be changed to simply make them brighter and easier to see as it doesnt really matter if they are closer together sometimes you can barely see them. Maybe nooed could be changed to activate at 1 generator left so that it doesnt turn into a total slugfest trying to keep people off the doors
Completely agree. There's so many perks to buff, some could be good with just removing unnecessary downsides or buffing the numbers up, or adding some more effects. Tons of work with, it's low hanging fruit and I really don't get why they don't buff weak perks more often.
That's not what they are saying? They're saying make them good. I've seen several killers run furtive chase with friends till the end. The synergy is there.
This, thank you. This is what I was saying. I was saying do SOMETHING to make the perks function and do SOMETHING that works with other perks. Shadowborne may not be good but it DOES have a use and have synergy now. Furtive Chase might not be meta but it DOES have a use and have synergy now, a lot better than its old "just slowly reduce the TR" thing it had going for it.
