Dear Developers and Forum Enjoyers
Quite the hardcore Killer main here. Started the game after a friend suggested that i buy it, and duo queued with him. Every now and then when he wasnt on, i played Killer. Eventually he quit the game (And promised to return if the 2v8 is added so that we can "Kill With Friends"), and i have been a pure Killer main since.
Like every other Killer main, I have my concerns about balance, and Survivors do too. This game, for the most part, is balanced. There's a sweet spot for tunneling, camping, body blocking, and gen rushing. Some people tunnel relentlessly just because they lack the necessary skills to secure a kill without it, while others like me do it as a last resort for maybe 1-2 hook stages per game or when the unhooked person does their absolute best to get downed again.
But the point is, its unbalanced both ways, SWFs make life unbearable for Sub S-Tier Killers that just want to have fun, and hard tunneling Killers make life unbearable for SoloQ Survivors. Its just an issue that hurts either side.
What we do need is hope (No, not the perk. I hate it as a 4.4m/s Killer). We need the Developers to be more transparent — not necessarily about their future plans, but about which ideas are even being considered. The description for the Feedback and Suggestions category in the Forums is "Our team will be happy to read these!", let's make it official.
Now, this might not apply to everyone. I'm sure not every Developer is in the game as both a dev and a player. But for those who do play and are enthusiastic about the game, please, if you have the time, engage with the people who genuinely suggest ideas for the game. You don't have to say "Yes" or "No" to any idea, but even simply playing around with it: making counter-suggestions or additions would certainly give people all the more reason to put their best efforts into what they write here. The idea of being heard and getting a response is probably a driving factor for many of the players here.
Perhaps we can have it, perhaps we cannot. Either way, I wanted to share my idea on how these forums could be much more alive than they are, if only we knew that what we write was being read by developers that are equally enthusiastic about making this game as good as it deserves to be.
