Revamping/Reworking The Trapper

It has come to my attention that The Trapper is one of the most well how do I put this? Maybe undervalued or not very popular at some point? Sure he is pretty unique with his traps and all, and also putting him into the game was very interesting. However I have a theory where if it gets to the point where the trapper is overwhelmed with perks such as, hope, made for this, chemical trap, and so on and so forth it will become a major problem to the game. If you are thinking about reworking him or adding some buffs it would be very beneficial to both the player and the survivor why the survivor you ask? Well considering the fact that most survivors have the ability to loop and all, it wouldn't be so hard to ask the killer to try a little more harder right??? My advice is to consider your future and the well being of both survivors and killers. However, things such as lores, and bugs, are really hard to get rid of or be made. After all The Trapper is one of the most basic yet, lethal killers somehow.

  • The biggest issue with Trapper is map design, more specifically the fact that none of them (except swamp, at least as of now) have thick grass anymore. If a survivor is playing on a new map with low graphics, the traps are completely visible. They may as well be sitting out in the open. This mixed with the fact that maps also have, for some reason, incredibly bright floors is killing him.

There are also the issues that have been in the game for years: traps spawning in the furthest corners of the map, picking up and setting speeds being too slow to effectively use in chase, etc.

  • I agree, there are some/many that are what's making the trapper a lot less lethal.
