The end-game timer should activate once the gates are powered

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've seen as a killer, currently the end-game timer has no effect on survivors, and doesn't make survivors want to rush to get the the gates open, rather just fill the gate meter and wait for the killer to reach them so they can heal, t-bag, then leave. I think that activating the end-game timer once the gates are activated will create incentive to run to the exit like it should. New survivors may suffer a little if this is implemented, but I feel that as they become more skilled they'll learn to be more watchful of the timer.

  • The endgame collapse isn't meant to make the endgame harder for survivors. It's meant to make the game end after a while, and it does it's job. Before it was added, Survivors could stick around forever and take the game hostage once the gates were open, but now that's no longer possible.

  • EGC is not supposed to favor killers. The idea behind it was to force the game to end in some way. Devs could have just as likely decided to autoescape (instead of autokill) all survivors once time runs out.

What you are proposing is to make end game clearly and very strongly killer-sided - especially (but not limited to), because no way out and blood warden exists. Given this perks exists, you could almost remove all the gens at that point (not really, as NWO still requires stacks - but remove stacks and it doesn't matter if there's 5 gens to complete, 1 gen or 50 gens - everyone dies by the time of EGC anyway).

In conclusion - absolutely unacceptable "idea".

  • Completely disagree with you. If you want more interesting end games as killer the way you want it, you can open the gate yourself as killer once all gens are powered and maybe get some Bloodwarden going. End game needs to stay as is, it’s completely fine especially now that perks like OTR and DS deactivate during this part of the trial. Killers have plenty of perks going for them during end game too and can get a lot of value from them, especially on certain killers.
