Could killers get different base stats? An intriguing idea...

Hello everyone.

Right now nearly all killers have the same base stats, ie the same 115% / 4.6m/s speed, the same recovery from missed and successful attacks (compared to back in the days 2 pseude stacks of STBFL), base stun recovery and palette breaking speed (again 1/2 pseudo Brutal Strength) and 32m terror radius.

Some killers have differing stats, but this is mostly due to their power design, ie some ranged killers or killers with very fast movement powers have 110% / 4,4m/s and the Nurse even going slower then survivors with 3.85m/s, or Wesker with his bigger terror radius and Myers with his mostly reduced one.

This leads to the concept that all killers have the exact (or nearly exact) same base abilities, with killers who even rely on this being called collectively M1-Killers due to their reliance on basic movement and the usage of the basic attack, ie M1 button.

So here is the wild idea: what if gave each killer more of a unique identity? Right now each killer has basically two stacks of STBFL (+10% total, each worth +5%) and two "stacks" of brutal strength (also each equal to +5%), with a total of 4 mini buffs to their base stats.

We could distribute this buffs to all killers in a different, unique way. I would go a step further and give each killer 5 stat buffs, but also 1 stat malus. To get enough variables we might add Gen kicking strength, Agility (speed while transporting a survivor), Pickup speed etc to the mix.

For example Clown could get +15% successful hit recovery, +10% faster vault speed, -5% stun recovery, while Billy might look like +10% Stun Recovery, +10% Genregression, -5% pickup speed.

It would help to give each killer some unique identity, but as always, something like this comes with the problem that players tend to lean onto strength, instead of ironing out weaknesses. So if Clown got +15% faster hit recovery and vault speed, a lot would run him with STBFL and Bamboozle, just to maximise his advantage.
