Field Recorder is OP
Two things: (1) In life, you have to give up something to get something. How does this relate Dredge and his add-on that gives him/it free Nightfall to start the trial? It doesn't, because it comes with two buffs. Not two nerfs. He also gets free Nightfall at endgame and exhaustion Hatchets whenever a Survivor interacts with the Remnant. That's really broken. If you want free Nightfall to start the trial, it's at halved duration for the beginning and throughout the trial. (2) It really shows the imbalance between Killer and Solo. Bad teammates are just part of the experience but so are Killers running the most OP stuff. Myers players don't run Judith's Tombstone, they just run Tombstone Piece. Even in October. Every Blight runs the sweatiest stuff. Nurse, etc. It's very imbalanced and the numbers and stats and Kill Rate reflect that.

Field Recorder isn't as strong as it sounds.
Nightfall at the start sounds awesome... except, you still have the 12 seconds at the start where you can't teleport. Since this is the start, all the latches on lockers are intact, so the survivors can just quickly lock them. Then the survivors can just run to a pallet and burn through your Nightfall.
It's one of those things that sounds awesome on paper, but in practice, it's pretty underwhelming.
The nightfall at the start is actually not very good. It doesn’t affect your 12 second cooldown at the start, so it basically already is effectively shorter because of that since you can’t do anything for those 12 seconds.
Survivors destroying the remnant doesn’t happen very often so that part isn’t super impactful either.
The automatic nightfall when the gens are done is the real power of this addon. I run this with devour hope, noed, rancor, and NWO and it can do a lot.
Dredge addons are fine and not abused.
