Cheaters suck. We can all agree. However, the last 2 weeks have been really rough on content creators. More than usual.

I don't think it's fair that Fog Whisperers are on a whitelist. This is just a bandaid fix for the people in their program. Streamers not whitelisted are suffering.

From Hook state manipulation, shifting cosmetics and items mid game, to the ability to inject themselves into lobbies is clearly a problem. Ban waves aren't doing anything but delaying them. What's weird is every time there IS a ban wave and the cheater issue dies down, they come back with better hacks than before doing different things.

My current favorite hack is them blowing up progress on all the gens so the killer and other survivors are stuck in the game until we DC.

My suggestion to QOL the community with cheaters until a permanent fix is made:

  • Remove the DC Penalty entirely
  • Get a team to pop into people streaming DBD, not just Fog Whisperers
  • Get more people to handle reports. I'm pretty sure some folks will volunteer just for Auric Cells

As much as I don't want the DC Penalty gone because people are salty, being held hostage in a game as a streamer kills your viewer count and hurts you monetarily in the long run. If you DC, youre hit with a ramping penalty to where you may as well start streaming a different game. They are doing that on purpose, knowing people have to either deal with it or get a penalty.
