Why are struggle points not an option to the last survivors ?
Hitting skillchecks during the struggle phase can still give you 900 points as survivor. It's not much, but it's still something in a game where grinding can be so tedious.
But when you're the last survivor(s) and the rest of your team leaves, or if you were on hook and the last person gets hooked as well, the whole struggle phase is completely skipped as you are immediately sacrificed.
I know that the survivors can't escape, since no one can unhook them and they can't unhook themselves.
But what about the struggle points ? Why is the whole struggle phase skipped if it is a way for survivors to get points ?
Not asking this as a rant or what, just curious.

good points i feel you should be able to still attempt escape especially with built in borrow as a last ditch effort i've definitely had a couple games where i didn't get to use my deliverance when i was last. in terms of struggle phase i feel like it should still be skipped but you get a bonus of bp for being the last one left in trial to make up for the lack of struggling.
It's because it's an awkward waste of time for the killer who's left twiddling his thumbs for two minutes waiting on the last survivors to die on hook.
It's a nice QoL change, ends the match quicker since it's obviously already over.
Because it would be a massive waste of time.
It's a waste of time for no good reason.
A. You self-unhook, now you immediately go down and get slugged for 60s.
B. You don't self-unhook and you wasted time.
C. You don't attempt out of spite to waste more time.
EDIT: As Karu said though, I have no problems with just giving the free points.
There's no struggle phase because it would be a complete waste of time. That said, I'd have no complaints to the final survivor just getting the 900 Survival points.
It should be put on the suggestions part of the forum.
With the final survivor on the hook, the struggle phase would just be a big waste all round.
However, now people get a mini BT of they escape the hook, I think BHVR could do with looking at the final survivor being able to attempt a 4% if it's their first hook.
Of course, a killer may choose to slug the last if they feel like it, but really that would be dull for both parties.
And I look forward to a post like that being made there eventually.
The struggle points currently seem more like a "thanks for not reagequitting"-bribe than a reward for hanging on.
As for to give the last survivor a chance to do that: the devs did present a concept of instant mori'ing the last survivor once theyre DOWNED. I dont think they'd now consider going in the other direction.
When survivor struggle is cut short due to game mechanic and not survivor giving up struggling they should give the survivor the BP they miss out on. Just because devs removed struggle to save time doesn't mean survivors should miss out on that BP.
