Advice with blast mine?
I wanted to try this perk for a few games but it seems like killers just don't want to kick the gen. I sprint burst away leaving it at like 90% and they just decide "guess ill chase". Kinda frustrating. Like its funny when it does happen but right now it feels like once per game (since i normally see jolt, pain res, and other stuff that doesn't require kicking).
Edit:might try red herring? That's the only other idea i have.

It's nice when it works but unfortunately you have no control over if it actually works or not, it will if they have something like eruption or brine but otherwise it's unlikely.
I still use blast mine occasionally but mostly just to signal where I am to maybe draw someone over to get prove thyself value.
Honestly Blast Mine is a stronger team info perk than it is a killer distruption perk. I use it more for info than I ever do for stunning the killer.
But what usually works for me is using it on a gen that's like between 30% and 70%. If it's got too little progress, people won't want to kick it because it's seen as a waste of time. If it's got too much progress, people won't want to kick it because they see that gen as lost.
My advice is dont use it, is a perk slot for a minor annoyance towards the Killer, there are much better stuff out there than Blast Mine, even if you want to be annoying Head On is the superior option for maximum tilt.
I do think Blast Mine has become more valuable since the recent patch, given that between the base and perk changes, kicking gens frequently is much more worthwhile now. Overcharge, Call Of Brine and Eruption are now good perks that see common use.
However, you have to consider what the value of Blast Mine really is. The killer is stunned and blinded for 4 seconds, but they can simply kick the gen again afterwards, so without doing anything else, Blast Mine would only waste 4 seconds of killer time, which is not very valuable at all. Instead, the idea is that the survivor can use those 4 seconds to get away, making a lot of distance or disappearing entirely, which is particularly valuable now where killers will actually regularly want to kick the gen before chasing after the survivor.
Sprint Burst is a good pair-up with Blast Mine, but you shouldn't be sprinting away instantly - if you already make distance away from the gen and the killer was going to kick it anyway, Blast Mine does nothing but waste those 4 seconds. Instead, you want to walk away from the gen, and then if the killer does kick the gen first, you can sprint away with SB and make tons of distance - or, if they do not kick the gen, you still have SB to prevent giving them a free hit.
More perks that work well with this tactic are Repressed Alliance and Lightweight. With Alliance, instead of running away while the killer is stunned, you can get back on the gen and block it, making sure the killer can't kick it again afterwards, then running away with SB (edit: this doesn't really work currently, since rather than Mine taking priority over Alliance like it is supposed to, they both activate simultaneously). The upside of this over just using Alliance without Mine is that now you are making sure that the killer was even wanting to kick your gen in the first place, rather than blocking the gen for no reason. And Lightweight's synergy here is fairly obvious: it makes it even more likely that the killer won't be able to locate you after getting Blast Mine'd.
More synergies include Prove Thyself and Adrenaline. Prove is just nice to have here because other survivors can see the aura of your generator when you apply Blast Mine on it, and Adren enables you to better go for plays where you finish the last gen in the killer's face while they are stunned.
If the killer dont find you, he wont chase and kick the gen. Try to hide better.
I've used Blast Mine a lot. Pair it with Prove Thyself. It's excellent to show the team what gen you're working on. As Anara said, the key is to sneak away when you hear the Killer coming. Hide- they will usually kick the gen if they don't find you. Then you can hide further while their blinded.
You can try using blastmine with red herring. You make the noise notification happen at the gen and have the killer kick it
Funny enough I also used blast Mine with Residual Manifest and it seems to work well
I use Blastmine to let other survivors know what gen I've been working on, especially if I'm chased off it. Getting killers to kick it is a bit more difficult simply because an observant killer will see the Blastmine on top and is more likely to wait out the timer than kick the gen, especially if they're running a regression perk that won't require them to kick the gen.
Even with killers kicking gens you will only get one or two successful blind/stuns. The additional 10 seconds per gen increased the time it takes to get to 66% progress needed to activate Blastmine. Working with people also slows it down because if you work with one person on a gen the whole time you'll only get 50% out of the 66% needed to activate Blastmine, and that's if they aren't running perks/items that increases their gen repair speed.
