Progression system is great and only needs minor tweaks to feel more rewarding

  • Bring back role incentives, keep them as a multiplicative instead of additive bonus. AKA, it also increases BP gained from offerings, etc. This is very important to help new players get "started", and get a few Prestige 1 characters. Especially now that you have to make it to Level 50, rather than gaining teachables at 30/35/40.
  • Once a character is prestiged to level 1 and above, their Bloodweb size remain the same as a Level 50 Bloodweb size. This would solve the issue with getting cheaper addons.
  • Prestiges after Prestige 1 happen after Level 25, rather than 50. With about 50k per Bloodweb, that should be about 1.25m BP to gain a prestige level, which is slightly more generous than the current 1.5m approximate Alternatively you could make it at level 30, then it would be the same cost for a prestige as right now on average.
  • Make the Prestige Node give you 25k BP instead of costing 20k BP. This is mostly a psychological thing, because 45K BP isn't a very big difference. But you can bet that player would find it very rewarding to get that little bonus, rather than have to spend BP they didn't have to spend before to prestige.
  • Increase Addon rarity slightly per Prestige Level, capped around Prestige 10 or so.
  • Remove the "Level X" prompt that happens after leveling, and instead flash the "Bloodweb Level X" text at the top to incidate it, and skip all the animations to get to next web. It won't matter much with these changes anyway.

  • The role incentives, at least, should return once the issues that got them Killswitched are fixed.

Yeah, I know. But some players found out that the bonus is not simply adding BP in the same way 4 stacks of BBQ or WGLF does.

What this bonus does is unique. It takes whatever you earned total after the match, and multiplies itself on top of it. So if 3 people bring cakes, you earn 25k points in game and gain 100k points after the match, the role incentive would simply double that to 200k, rather than add another 25k on top. This is excellent, and I hope they keep it this way.

  • I think the ideas are great!

It was very disheartening to read that even when the matchmaking incentives are back, they are not guaranteed to be there at all, depending on region/MMR rating so the other changes would be so welcome.

I especially like the suggestion about the prestige node rewarding BP instead of costing. It's such a small change but it would feel so much better.
