The new Hex: Ruin shouldn't be a Hex Perk anymore

Ruin will get nerfed soon to Balance the meta like the other 38 perks but...dude this nerf is really really hard. The gen Regression is only 100% instead of 200% plus it deactivates after the first person dies.

Don't get me wrong, I support these changes because that gives killers a reason to try a new build then every round Undying with Ruin. But...one thing could be better.

We all know that every map has bad Totem spots and sometimes a Totem get's destroyed in the first Minute of the game. I don't think ruin should be a Hex anymore. It destroys itself after the first survivor is dead a thing no other hex perk does, now having the luck based "Is it getting destroyed/Is it good hidden" on top of that is not necessary.

  • Unfortunately not making it a hex would defeat the purpose of trying to remove it from the meta. If you've killed a survivor before the gens are done then you already have a massive advantage, there's no need for ruin. However making it a non hex perk still gives MASSIVE gen pressure over the survivors. All the killer has to do is pressure survivors and not worry about gens one bit because they're already passively regressing. They don't have to worry about kicking it which is valuable time saved. It'd be meta all over again

  • at 100% regression it is a joke. You could make it a non hex and still no one would take it, even if it lasted the entire trial. 40 seconds to undo 10 is a joke, also consider it turns off a ton of other regression perks and its value goes down even more.

  • Hopefully, along with all the other perks they kicked to death for being used too much and nothing more, they give it some love.
