MY SUGGESTIONS FOR TWINS CHANGES

Twins right now are the most boring and irritating killer to play as and go against (in others opinion), from my perspective it's caused by their playstyle and basekit, which is very slow due to their super long cooldowns and their horrible add-ons. So I did some changes for their power basekit and add-ons. (Also twins are not as much forgotten as before, thanks to Tome 11: Devotion).

The first thing I want to talk about is their power, it's not that bad due that Victor can be good in chases but their horrible cooldowns are the problem and they struggle with it, so take a look to the changes i did:

CONTROL CHARLOTTE: Charlotte will only suffer from 2 second fatigue after Victor latches on the survivor and 1 second of movement lock after being stunned out from the dormant state, in the moment when Victor latches on survivor, Charlotte will instantly wake up and you will begin to control her. (This change is here for to not be countered by anti-slug perks, such as for example- Boon: Exponential, Unbreakable , WGLF).

POUNCE: Reducing the successful Pounce from 5 to 3 seconds. (Everybody just wants that, don't you agree?).

CRUSHING VICTOR: Increasing the time of Remove action from 8 to 10 seconds. (That can really punish cocky survivors who just want to wait for you to watch them leave).

Victor will instantly die, if survivor gets hooked and Victor is in 16 metre range of it. (It's for balance purposes and it can help you very well in chases, because you will have Victor with yourself and Survivors won't be worried to go for the unhook because there won't be Victor next to the hook).

RECALL: Decreasing Recall time from 30 to 20 seconds (When I increased the time of Remove action for 10 seconds it means that survivors can hold Victor hostage for more time than it's now, so I reduced the time to prevent survivors holding Victor hostage for a long time, also it can help you in chases).

Another thing I want to present are their add-ons, right now there are add-ons that are overused and other that no one uses them at all, so here I changed rarity of some, some of them are buffed, some of them have new effects and some of them are unchanged. The add-ons will be put in alphabetical order in the rarities. (That list will be very long).

  • COMMON ADD-ONS:

1.Baby Teeth (from Uncommon to Common): Two teeth that Victor lost long ago. They are unusually sharp.

-When Victor gets removed, crushed by kicking him or gets recalled from them suffer from the Blindness Status Effect for 60 seconds.

-Survivors suffer from the Blindness Status Effect while Victor is latched on them.

2.Cat Figurine: A wooden figure that had caught young Victor's eye. He shrieked until his mother stole it from the market, nearly blowing their cover.

-Survivors removing or crushing Victor by kicking him causes the Survivor to be deafened for 20 seconds.

3.Soured Milk: A metal bottle filled with milk that has since soured. Loud as Victor could be, he quieted down when presented with his meal.

-Increases Victor's Shriek radius by +8 metres.

4.Tiny Fingernail: Charlotte had many ways to mourn Victor's death. As the fingernails loosened from his rotting hands, she took one in remembrance.

-Decreases regrow duration by -1 second.

  • UNCOMMON ADD-ONS:

1.Cat's Eye: An eyeball that belonged to a cat eaten by the starving Deshayes family. Victor hid it from his mother, using it as a toy.

-After fully charging Pounce, Victor roams silently.

-Victor's Shriek radius is silent while he's idle.

2.Ceremonial Candelabrum: The candelabrum that Victor tipped over, causing his captors to burn. A symbol of his tenacity.

-Increases time needed for Survivors to crush Victor by +0.65 seconds.

3.Madeleine's Glove: A glove once owned by The Twins' mother. During desperate times, it was held over Victor's mouth to keep him from making a peep.

-Decreases Victor's Shriek radius by -8 metres while controlling Victor.

4.Sewer Sludge (from Rare to Uncommon): A disgusting, sticky mixture that covered the Deshayes during an escape attempt through the city sewers.

-Increases time needed for Survivors to remove Victor by +2 seconds.

-Incapacitated Status Effect lingers for 30 seconds When Victor gets removed or recalled.

5.Toy Sword (from Common to Uncommon): A minuscule toy sword, only a few inches long. Holding it brought out a violent enthusiasm in Victor.

-Increases the pounce range by +4 metres.

  • RARE ADD-ONS:

1.Bloody Black Hood (from Uncommon to Rare): A hood from one of the men that hunted Charlotte. Soon, he became the prey.

-When switching to Charlotte, every survivor's location within +20 metres of you, is revealed for 5 seconds.

2.Madeleine's Scarf: A cloth Madeleine wore shortly before her death. The Twins kept it as a memento.

-Survivors receive 25% penalty for Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Cleansing, Opening, and Unlocking while Victor is latched on survivor or controlling Victor.

"...shall hereby be recorded as a service to the greater good and the extermination of evil." — Inquiry into the death of Madeleine Deshayes

3.Rusted Needle: A needle Madeleine used to sew up her children's tattered clothes.

-When Victor gets removed, crushed by kicking him or gets recalled from them suffer from Hemorrhage and Mangled Status Effect if they are injured.

-Survivors suffer from the Hemmorhage and Mangled Status Effect while Victor is latched on them.

4.Stale Biscuit: A hard, unleavened biscuit that Madeleine stole from a town's market. It was not much, but it was better than most meals.

-Decreases Victor's Pounce cool-down by -0.4 seconds.

5.Weighty Rattle: A shoddily carved rattle that Victor cried over until his mother stole it for him. It is entirely too heavy to be trusted to a child.

-Survivors crushing Victor by kicking him will injure the survivor if they are healthy.

  • VERY RARE ADD-ONS:

1.Drop of Perfume: One of the few luxuries Madeleine escaped her past life with. It has a pleasant, disarming scent.

-When switching to Charlotte, every survivor within +20 metres of you, suffer from the Exposed Status Effect for 20 seconds.

"Beware the deceit of witches, for they exploit the goodness in men's hearts." — A History of Witches and Demons (1602)

2.Forest Stew: A stew of foraged vegetables mixed with moss and bark to create a false sense of fullness.

-Increases Victor's Movement speed by +1 m/s.

"Eat... eat, child. You'll feel better when it's down." — Madeleine Deshayes

3.Spinning Top: A wooden top shared between The Twins, though Victor wanted it for his own. He learned he could get what he wanted if he clung tightly and screamed.

-Survivors drop any carried Item when pounced on by Victor.

"Hush... hush... it is yours then." — Charlotte Deshayes

4.Victor's Soldier: A toy soldier Victor clung to when scared. Something about it evoked jealousy in Charlotte.

-Reduces Victor's Unbinding time by -0.5 seconds.

-Decreases Pounce Charge time by -0.5 seconds.

-Increases the pounce range by +8 metres.

-Increases Arch angle by +15°.

"Kch--kch—k'ull bawd mennn..." — Victor Deshayes

  • ULTRA RARE ADD-ONS:

1.Iridescent Pendant: A glass-like pendant moulded from The Fog itself. There is a portrait of Madeleine Deshayes upon it, though something about her depiction seems unsettling.

-If a Survivor crushes Victor by any means, they suffer from the Exposed Status Effect for 45 seconds and their Aura is revealed to Charlotte for 10 seconds.

"Your binding is no curse, my loves. It is your strength to draw upon." — Madeleine Deshayes

2.Silencing Cloth: A coarse strip of cloth that a five-year-old Charlotte would put in her mouth. Stopped her from screaming when witch hunters were nearby.

-After waking from her Dormant State, Charlotte is granted the Undetectable Status Effect for 20 seconds.

"I don't like this game anymore, Mother..." — Charlotte Deshayes

That would be it for my Twins changes suggestions, If you are unsure or want to ask about something, write down in the comment. I'm open for criticism.

  • The problem with all of this is you do not address the core of the issue with the twins, they are boring. All of these buff, even fi they went through would not change this. Victor is uninteresting as there is no incentive for long range lunges. With no terror radius it its easy to hit survivors, and said survivors are then marked for charlotte to find. This is not too strong, but rather there are little opportunities for one to demonstrate their skill.

Charlotte herself is just a 115 killer with no power, making her awful in chases, but with Victor good to go, these same chases are ended fairly quickly.

The best way to play the twins is to slug, camp and tunnel. They excel at this. regardless on your stance, these strategies are not interesting. Camping and tunnelling, while affective is generally not considered fun. Slugging with the twins slow the game down to such an unnatural degree, that each match takes 20 minutes. What's worse, is because they are slugging, they still often lose. Imagine playing regular 20 minute matches and you still lose a significant proton of it. The twins are just badly designed.
