Don’t be in Chain Hunt then. It is MEANT to interrupt you. That is literally the entire point.

You shouldn't be able to do a totem while a chain hunt is going on or if pinhead is actively chaining you. The chain being "too annoying" is a feature

You have to solve the Lament Configuration before attempting to cleanse or bless a totem.

It's not a strawman. They're saying that his ability shouldn't interrupt actions, so it really only does anything in chase. This killer deserved so much more, but got nerfed instead. And now they want him nerfed again. See where I'm coming from?
