DbD stuck in the past(solo survivor/killer power level)
Playing as a solo survivor the most miserable exp one can have in dbd, why you can't communicate with your teammates, no comms, no pings, nothing, you are on your own without any means to coordinate.
This being stark contrast compared to dbd's competition:
Propnight has comms
HSHS has ping system
VHS and Evil dead the game will have ping and comms
Spirit detective has ping and comms
The point is that the competition are light years ahead when comes to solo experience.
DbD also doesn't feel a team game, one would think, okay MMR so they want to make it more competitive, but we got this:
You ran the killer for whole game but die at the end---> you lost
The claudette urban evaded in the corner for whole game, but escaped through the gate. --> she won
In ideal system even one escape through the gate should count as a win for survivors, since it supposed to be a competitive team based game(hence MMR)
Again in the competition one survivor escaping means win for all survivor(propnight, VHS, spirit detective)
The balancing would lot easier too, every second game should be 4k for killers, and even if they lose, they could kill most of the survivors.
Right now playing as killer also miserable just like solo survivor(at least if you aren't a content creator who plays dbd as a job)
There are 27 killers but almost every killer balanced around to be very slightly above solo survivor power.
What does it mean?
As every killer main knows, 4 survivor friend playing on comms with optimal gameplay, vastly above the power level of killers. In practice, if a killer got one kill against such a group its considered to be extremely good result, the highest a killer can hope.
27 killers and only 1 maybe 2 (nurse and blight) viable against such a groups.
While the strongest killer is unbeatable after a player mastered him.
The solution would be to bring every killer to the level of swf groups, and bring down the unbeatable one.
