Why was stretched res "removed" when they could have fixed it instead
ok so its simple did stretched res give you an unfair advantage? yes why? it allows you to reveal ghost face over walls...
Did it allow you to see over more loops? no almost not at all ( i havent found a single loop in the game)... with camera movement you can still see the killer over literally ANY wall that a stretched res player can or well maybe not if your palying 2560x1080 but thats a different story (i mean sure it requires less camera movement to see them but you can still see them over 99.99% of the walls that stretched res gives you an unfair advantage on...
And last why did we get black bars on killer??? like... no one ever asked for the devs to remove the increased vertical fov on killer?? makes the killer experience horrible xd
before yall comment your average "LLL u cant abuse it anymore" comments i still play stretched res and i will since i've played stretched for 10+ years and i cant play games without it i just think it looks better especially first person games (or killer in this case)
"HoW dOeS sTrEtChEd ReS lOoK bEtTeR"
- personal opinion
- and yes i play all my games on the lowest settings possible and all that
Quick summary
while stretched res makes it easier to see over things you can still see over them without it so the nerf almost does nothing besides covering 40% of your screen with blackbars (even as killer for some reason) (my monitor is 2560 x 1440) yes i do think its unfair to reveal ghost face over but thats like the only real "unfair" advantage you get from it
if you want a better explanation you can literally watch the vids calling stretched res cheating they say the exact same thing :)

Oh geez I can predict where this thread is going to go.
so can I, hence I am closing this right now.
Stretched Res gave an unfair advantage in game to both killers and survivors - hence we have removed the ability for players to stretch their res other than what is intended and black bars are in place when methods are used that are not supported by the game.
