Can you count hatch escapes as kills for the sake of emblem/achievement?

We know hatch escapes have no effect on MMR, why can't we do same thing for emblems? it's not like survivors can actually counter if killers are determined to 4k, so why don't we stop wasting our times?

    I don't see a reason to make change over making d/cs count. That frustrates me more than someone getting a hatch escape while doing a challenge or achievement that involves killing survivors.
