The new changes will be great! + Criticisms towards the game
The new changes in the developer update are EXECELLENT, tons of perks buffed, and quality of life changes!
Almost every change I think will be perfect, but there are some missed points, and some big ones, that should be addressed now or in the future:
- Premade groups have the ability, without auras, to tell at all times where they are around the map, using a clock like system, where they say "I'm at 3", and they can pinpoint almost perfectly their location around the map. Tho the changes are very nice, this imo must be implemented to reduce the gap between solos and groups: a location system, like Infectious fright: what I mean with this it the ability to communicate your position in the map pressing a button, that shows your position (not your aura) to other teammates exactly like the locations of the perk Infectious Fright. Also, a button to ask where other teammates are. This would significantly reduce the gap, especially in those situations where 2 solos want to heal, but cannot find each other and waste a lot of time going around the map.
- Flask of Bleach: there was no need to nerf this add on, if it was a problem I'd say remove it entirely or keep it as it was.
- Redhead’s Pinkie Finger: The nerf was needed, but this doesn't address the extreme potential it has in camping situations. The problem is this: very good players don't get hit every directly by bottles when at loops, and when they do they do usually they're at a safe loop. Using this add on in those situations required a lot of skill, but not when using it to camp of course. Some even suggested it should be basekit, because right now being hit directly by a bottle has no increased penalty then going into the regular gas. It's a bit of a sad change just removing two bottles, it doesn't address the camping problem, and makes it less worthy to use in chase situations because of the much increased need to reload bottles.
- About the Twins: nobody ever leaves Victor still in one place, the Blindness add on does nothing but increase the gab between solos and premade groups, and this shows how the changes to Twins keep going into the wrong direction: currently the best way to use Twins, even with circle of healing, is still MASSIVE slugging. Nerfing the last 3 add-ons does nothing more than increasing even more the need to slug to win the match, because of much time it takes to injure with Victor (because as Charlotte you're just a m1 killer), wait the 30 seconds, recall Victor and down again. This will just increase Twins capability of slugging as I said, but even tunneling, because of how little it takes for Victor to catch up a Decisive Strike stun. Bad changes to already trash add ons, which add more to a frustrating killer to play for both sides: survivors because it's literally solos worst nightmare, as Twins because of all the cheesy stuff premade groups can do against you, the fact that if someone hides in a locker, Victor attachs the locker, and the survivors doesn't resist you cannot recall Victor and you're forced to go to the locker, dead hard hit validation which lets survivors destroy you, randomly bounching off survivors, trees weird hitboxes, stairs making it almost impossible to hit survivors on, etc.
- Mikhail’s Eye: literally no reason to nerf this add on, I'm sorry but I just don't see it.
- Marvin's blood: with this, Nemesis has no good add ons anymore, the buffs to the others aren't enough, and this was the only good add on that let you get out of T1 ASAP. This will just make Nemesis' momentum even slower, over the fact of how slow it takes to get to T3 without this add on, how painful it is to play without Marvin's blood, and how garbage are all other add ons ,now decently buffed, but still they're inconsistent and unreliable.
- Wooden Fox: make the Huntress' lullaby go completely silent, otherwise this add on is completely pointless because you can hear when she's getting closer.
- Distortion: give a way to regain tokens, Undying simply eats all your takes super fast and multiple times.
- Wake Up: the perk is almost still completely pointless compered to a lot of other perks, it incentivise even more to play selfish and be the last survivor, because of the chance you have to maybe open the exit gates before the killer can come back. Needs a rework, bad end game perk.
- Buckle Up: seeing the killer's aura in not enough to justify using this perk, which, as Otz said, does nothing useful because you can tell using muscle memory how much teammates recovered. Completely useless if used in a premade group.
- Coup de Grace: good rebuff, but the way the perk gets tokens is unreliable and makes using this perk a poor choice. If there was some other method, like hooking someone, it would be such a good and healthy perk that would incentivise going for hooks. Also there's still no way not to waste stacks, which is a big problem of the perk that makes it waste itself very quickly.
- Furtive Chase: there's still no reason to have a smaller terror radius in chase, it's still a very bad and niche perks that works only in combo, and even then it's not that good. Give it a buff and make it so you have your terror radius permanently smaller and that when you're in chase, and your terror radius becomes 0, you automatically become undetectable.
Other than this, all other changes are great, I can't wait to try Dead man's switch! 😍

Still, thinking about it, the changes overall are too little, and many things in the game that ABSOLUTELY needed to be addressed: cheaters, circle of healing, DH hit validation on some killers like Twins, flashlight macros, games held hostage by hackers, not a word about them. Very disappointing.
What has been said is very good, but God knows when they'll actually be implemented, if they will be implemented, etc.
Also SBMM still counts only kills and escapes, and nothing else. If you get facecamped by Bubba, that's it. If you do a 5 gen chase and you die because of Bubba facecamping it's the same of doing nothing all game and immediately escaping through exit gates.
Sadge.
Oh OK, this part 3 with big Nurse fixes is very very nice, much needed.
Also, some fixes on various bugs, nice.
Overall, decently good changes but some nerfs were unneeded and missed the point completely, but unsatisfied about the major problems like cheating and others.
I'm asking @MandyTalk , and @Peanits that wrote the thread, what does this mean
And especially this:
"Fixed an issue that caused some Killers to be able to prevent unhooking by standing close to a hooked Survivor" ?
Basically what the bottom meant was is if you positioned correctly you could prevent unhooks by body blocking now you can’t
What? How? That was really possible? Maybe glitching inside the survivor or something? I suppose only with those killers with a bigger hitbox (do they have different hitboxes?), because you should in theory be able to unhook from both side of a hook.
Still it doesn't solve the problem of being able to bodyblock the hook if just 1 survivor comes, and the unhooking animation cannot even start if you're "good"
