Animations
Just come from a recently closed discussion that came up with the idea of bringing back old animations for survivors for walking and standing still.
I do find it rather immersive-breaking when a survivor slams the pallet on a killer head then stand upright doing a "S'up bro" pose. With the older, the survivor looked more like they were actually looking for an escape and thinking. Now they actually look like they are practicing for some anime.
The new animations seem to depict survivors as really not bothered or concerned about what's going on. Even their running animation looks like they're having fun, and that really does break the atmosphere of the game severally.
It may be a small change, but a simple animation like that can greatly turn the game from a survivor in a desperate situation to a survivor who just thinks this is no big deal and effectively defeats the idea of a killer who is meant to be at least somewhat threatening.
It's more a loss of the game's individuality, and really to maintain that perhaps looking back on some things is better than always looking forwards. Please consider looking at improving the aesthetics.

Not sure why the last thread was closed, but i was about to post the following.
They took the worst of both sets. We're currently stuck with the janky ps2-era movements of the old animations, all for the sake of "techs", combined with the ugly, stiff animations for standing, idle, injured, etc.
Ripping out the transition anims made the new running look even more stiff and out of place.
And nodding still looks cursed.
Yeah, I couldn't figure exactly why it was closed neither, but it was a good point. I'd be happy with the janky animations if it meant the survivors actually looked like they were scared and it added something. Now every character looks like they're auditioning for a superhero movie when they idle!
