A way to make the game better
I have a suggestion to make the game better. It is going to be met with anger, but it will make the game more varied for players. It comes in two parts, one to help the game, the other the help the gameplay.
- Remove hook timer for if the killer is too close to the hook and make only on hook in the basement. This would remove camping from the game. There are too many games at the moment where the killer is unable to look for survivors or chase survivors. They stumble on the weakest and then hook them either in the basement, where they camp the building or anywhere else where they camp the hook, never leaving to chase another survivor even when the stand close to them, only ever going for the survivor who dares to play as a teammate, or the person who has already been hooked and just rescued. If there was no timer then the killer would be force to leave as the other survivors would just do gens and the killer would get no kills. The timer could resume when the killer leaves the hook area. With only one hook in basement, then it would become more like every other hook, however it would still only have one exit point, but the killer would have no reason to wait there and then use four hooks.
- This one is not going to be easy to do, but I do think it would help. Reset every killer and survivor rank including teachable perks. I can hear the shouting now, but bear with me. Once they are reset, remove bloodpoints from a pool, but use them as XP per survivor / killer. For instance, lets say you play as trapper, the points you get from that game can only be spent on trapper. At the moment there is no incentive to play other klllers / survivors. Once you have found a favourite all you do is level them up, unlock all the perk slots and then use the blood points on other characters you don't play, but want the teachables. A player that plays a lot may have a lot of experience on one killer / survivor, they keep playing and just buy the perks from other characters to add to the character they play. This is why most games have the same survivors / killers. I play many games against a Bubba / Huntress / Spirit, very few against Deathslinger or the Twins. Its the same with survivors. A lot of people must have survivors that came in packs with DLC, but you don't see them. Why? because it's easy to buy the perks with bloodpoints from the survivors to play with the same survivors we see, Meg, Claudette, Nea, Bill. The odd David and Jake.
