Do you think destroying camping and gen rush make the game better?

"Destroying" means

  1. Gen speed become very slow if you do nothing but do gen.
  2. If you camp a hook in 30 meters for no reason (no seeing other survivors), hook timer stops and the gen speed penalty of 1. get canceled.

Concepts like above, not complete enough.

Encourage killer to hunt and chase, and reduce the efficiency issue for not camping by lowering the gen speed.

Forbid boring play style by mechanism.

Sure, parameters may need twist and test.

Do you think it will help this game?

  • You can’t remove either. They tried to remove camping and survivors abused it and what if a killer chases one survivor the whole game?

  • Given that genrushing and camping are choices that players actively make themselves, it's not really possible to "destroy" it unless it becomes a bannable offence. And it's not an offence, it's part of the game. So what will happen if you remove or rework it in some magical my little pony style? Well, people are just gonna come up with new ways to be boringly efficient. You can't destroy playstyles without damaging the game.

And you have to take into account that sometimes genrushing and camping are forced by opposite side. Like killer being AFK whole game or survivor looping around his hooked teammate. In these case is survivor to blame for genrushing? Or, maybe, killer is to blame for camping? No and no.

Bill Gates first attempt to create a business was Traf-O-Data in 1972. When Traf-O-Data went bankrupt, Bill Gates never attempted to create another business and faded into obscurity.

Oh wait, Bill Gates actually tried again and became a multi-billionaire. My bad.

We’re comparing bill gates to BHVR. Which one has more drive to do well?
