Stop Making Us Your Guinea Pigs

And don't make us play a horribly designed system called skill-based matchmaking. Skill-based matchmaking has no room in this game, and it's utterly appalling that after so many tests of people telling you to stop it that you still insist that this system is somehow "good" for this game.

This game's health would be better off if you didn't try to do things like this all the time and instead actually worked on the issues that everyone has. And maybe the game would be even healthier if instead of actually making people play an already-horribly-designed Ranked system, that you just remove it entirely and focus on the more critical issues (like fixing how the game runs and handles, fixing the bugs you've acknowledged for so long but neglect to even fix, and adding the features people have asked for and that you promised would be in but never delivered).

If you want to continue making us your guinea pigs, you have a perfectly functional thing called the "PTB" to test this horribly flawed system on instead of subjecting literally every single player of this game, at once, to this system. You'd probably get a lot better feedback and a lot less hostility from people if you just didn't force "LIVE" to play this.

  • A lot of players want an MMR so they aren't hook-bots for level 1 Red Rank Killers or continually blinded by flashlights against level 1 Red Rank Survivors.

What makes the upcoming MMR system worse than the current one that matches you against Skittles?

It'll match you against every flavor of Skittles instead of just the Grape and Cherry flavored Skittles. We've seen in the past how MMR actually worked, and honestly, unless this game gets the massive reworks it so desperately needs, it doesn't need MMR yet.

For example, if anything, a reworked Ranked Mode and an actual Casual Mode would be a lot better for the community and the health of the game than tacking on MMR so haphazardly. I mean let's be real, it hasn't segregated the communities of other games, so what's different about DbD and it's nigh-on 30 million players?

    dbd with 30 million players...

    Have I missed something?

DBD doesn't have that many players for it. Other games are not asymmetrical games.

DbD's total sales are likely around 30 million at this point thanks to the Resident Evil chapter. That means 30 million (at most) potential players of this game, most of which are probably on console.

Dead accounts are irrelevant, most important information is daily players, which is 50-60k.
