My theory on Tome challenges.
I often wonder whether things like the glyph challenges (like the yellow one) are a test for future features planned to be implemented.
And the “use xxx perk to (insert objective here)” challenges are really a means of gaining a mass of data on the perk to see whether they can justify buffing/changing/nerfing the perk in the future.
Just my thoughts.

If BHVR is smart that's what they'd do.
With the perk challenges it's more likely that BVHR will go "see, 30% of Killers used Monstrous Shrine this week, no need for changes", without mentioning there was a Monstrous Shrine challenge.
This is not true at all. E.g. they acknowledged that Trapper was played so much when they released Stats because it was during the first Tome and this is one reason why we have 2 Killers featured in each Tome.
@Topic:
Glyphs - might be possible, however, I really hope they stop with the Glyph-Challenges. They are incredible boring and basically "Play X games", while "X" means "Y times the Glyph was found + Z times you did not find them".
However, the Skill Checks might get some use (e.g. Overcharge).
Perks - I doubt that you really get reliable Data. Because there will be players who basically ######### up the entire game to get their Challenge done, if it requires a Perk which is not really good.
