Why the EGC starts when i close a key-opened hatch with still two more survivors alive

and why opens again after kill one of them? where is the point on activating the egc collapse if it opens again?

i hate when TWO survivors opens the hatch in my face, i stop one of them to jump by closing it, but the other one was camping the door and then both scape

Yh keys are annoying. But i must say the small change to the hatch was much better as i thought. I got a kill bc the hatch closed 10secs after a key instead of 30secs.

They will probably rework keys in this year.

Because closing the hatch starts EGC. It doesn’t matter under conditions the hatch was open.

Does EGC start even if you don't close the hatch, but wait the full 10 seconds for it to close by itself?

No. Only when the killer closes the hatch.

No. Only killer can start EGC
