Blood Favor - make it a hex, OR a cooldown. Not both.

Why?

In my opinion, make it non-hex, and turn it into a cooldown perk only. Even as it is right now, Hex: Blood Favor doesn’t have much of a use because Survivors typically run to the next loop with the speed boost after being hit.

As strong as it seems on paper, Blood Favor does not warrant both the hex AND the cooldown. It should be one or the other, not both, and the fact that a cooldown is on a Hex perk is a testament to how far BHVR have fallen into the cooldowns rabbit hole.

  • Yeah. Crowd control doesn’t get a cooldown yet this does it’s weird. It could be decent enough if it didn’t have a cooldown tbh

  • I think cooldown will be enough. For hex, it will be so op. So i think make it normal perk with cooldown.

I mean would it? Don't survivors just hold w after the hit and get out of the range with just that? Hmm.

  • Since its time in the PTB to now, Blood Favor has been singled out as one of the most penalized perks that gives such a mediocre benefit. The benefit it gives basically does nothing in purple and red ranks, as most people would rather greed a pallet they are close to after taking a hit and run to another tile than drop it during their speed burst. The fact that it's a hex AND has a cooldown on top really just says the devs thought it would somehow be too strong, so they threw a chain and ball around its ankles and haven't set it free yet.

It would be kinda map dependent but I think it could have some use especially on killers like blight or clown who can follow up hits easily

  • Yes, please.

A Hex should NEVER have a cooldown.

Why can't we get as much value as possible on a perk that can already only last 2 minutes?

  • Sad fact: Even without cooldown / hex, it would still be bad perk. It needs range increase as well.

Realistically all it does is save Survivors from shaky-handsing into dropping the pallet when they get hit, if not completely stop a hit trade because the pallet doesn’t go down. It also stops newbies from rushing their pallet and dropping it while the Killer is in cooldown.

The effect as it is more often rewards the Survivor when the perk procs, rather than the Killer running the perk, who later has to deal with that exact same pallet which could make or break the entire game plan.

should just have no cooldown, little more range, and pallets should be blocked until the hex is destroyed.

on top of that, would be nice if it destroyed all dropped pallets within a larger radius, like 32m. so it blocks uprights within 24, destroys dropped in 32.

it needs to be really strong to warrant being a hex, so I think this would work.

  • As someone that plays survivor I'd be fine with blood favor being one or the other. With the cool down there's no reason to go looking for the hex.
