The Twins - Rework concept

So as we all know, the Twins is a horribly designed killer. Great concept, terrible execution. So I'm going to try and make a rework concept for our favorite conjoined siblings!

Power update

SPECIAL ABILITY: Blood Bond

Press and hold the Power button to unleash Victor. Swap control between Charlotte and Victor by tapping the Ability button, causing her to fall into a Dormant State.

Survivors within a 6 meter radius within her during her Dormant State has a sense of discomfort, and is given the Exhausted status effect until they leave her radius. Leaving her radius gives Survivors the Exhausted status effect for 5 more seconds.

While Victor is unable to see Scratch Marks, he sees any Pools of Blood left by injured Survivors in bright red.

While left on his own, Victor will trigger Killer Instinct on any walking or running Survivors who can hear his Shrieks, revealing their outlines to Charlotte.

However, Victor can be crushed by Survivors while Charlotte is being controlled.

If crushed, Victor will re-grow on Charlotte after some time has passed (15 seconds).

Fury of Deshayes

After Victor is crushed by a survivor in any way, Charlotte will temporarily trigger the Killer Instinct (10 seconds) for all survivors in the trial, after she is fully awake from her Dormant State. If Victor is latched onto a survivor, the Killer Instinct will not activate, but Fury of Deshayes will still activate.

During this duration, Charlotte's movement speed is temporarily increased to 5.0 m/s (125%) for the duration Victor grows back, and her Attack Cooldown speed is slightly increased (+20%).

Fury of Deshayes will remain activated if Victor stays latched onto the Incapacitated Survivor. Once Victor is crushed by the survivor, it will remain active for 3 more seconds.

SPECIAL ATTACK: Pounce

While controlling Victor, hold the Ability button to charge a Pounce and tap the Attack button to unleash it.

Successfully landing a Pounce deals damage to the Survivor, but leaves Victor vulnerable to getting crushed by other Survivors during his attack cooldown (3 seconds).

If the Survivor was at full health, Victor will injure them without swapping control to Charlotte.

If the Survivor was injured, Victor will latch onto them, afflicting them with the Broken, Oblivious, and Incapacitated Status Effects, and control will swap to Charlotte. The Incapacitated Survivor will not be given the Dying State.

While latched on, Survivors are unable to enter Lockers, repair Generators, leave through the Exit Gates, and will reveal the Aura of nearby Survivors.

The afflicted Survivor can crush Victor while he is latched onto them by completing the Remove action (8 seconds).

If Victor misses his Pounce, he is momentarily vulnerable (5 seconds) and can be crushed by a Survivor.

If Victor lands and stays on an obstacle taller than himself, he will be destroyed and re-grow on Charlotte. In this case, Fury of Deshayes will not activate.

SPECIAL ATTACK: Final Blow

After landing a Pounce on an injured survivor, Blood Bond charges up. After four Pounces, Final Blow is fully charged. Press the Active Ability button to activate Final Blow while Victor is controlled.

When Final Blow is activated, Victor will temporarily move at 4.4 m/s (110%) for 3 seconds. After the duration has ended, Victor moves at 7.0 m/s (175%) for 30 seconds. Victor cannot be crushed while Final Blow is activated unless he misses a Pounce. Any Survivor that is Pounced in the injured state is instantly downed, and every other survivor on the map within a 32m radius of Victor is given Killer Instinct for the remainder of Victor's attack cooldown.

After Final Blow has ended, Victor is destroyed and Fury of Deshayes activates.

Power Summary

So what do you think? I adjusted their power plenty, changed their gameplay a lot, and added new abilities to their power!

What I did is make their power a lot more rewarding, and although they seem like a better Legion in this case, they still suffer from worse slowdown power than Legion.

I also added the ability for Charlotte to catch up to a latched survivor quickly.

If Victor stays latched onto a survivor, Charlotte can keep her speed boost for a good while, so it discourages survivors from keeping him on them.

Add-on changes

Baby Teeth (UC > C)

Two teeth that Victor lost long ago. They're unusually sharp.

  • Moderately reduces the amount of time it takes to recover from a missed Pounce (from 5 seconds to 3 seconds).
Stale Biscuit (R)

A hard, unleavened biscuit that Madeleine stole from a town’s market. It wasn't much, but it was better than most meals.

  • Moderately increases the duration of Fury of Deshayes. (+3 seconds)
  • Moderately increases time it takes for Victor to regrow. (+3 seconds)
Drop of Perfume (VR)

One of the few luxuries Madeleine escaped her past life with. It has a pleasant, disarming scent.

  • The auras of all survivors are shown whenever the Killer Instinct should be activated.
  • The Killer Instinct no longer appears.

Add-on summary

Although I didn't change much here, I reworked some of the add-ons to work with the rework concept.

Baby Teeth makes mistakes a lot more forgiving if you miss pounces.

Stale Biscuit's regrow duration is increased to work with Fury of Deshayes.

And Drop of Perfume is self-explanatory.

Conclusion

The goal of this concept was to try and make the Twins a lot more interactive to play as, and more fun to play against!

What are your thoughts? And remember, don't be afraid about using constructive criticism! If you feel like they're too powerful or too weak, lmk!

  • The twins don't need a rework, not every killer has to be S teir

This isn't supposed to be a buff.

This looks like both a nerf and buff to Victor.

Not being able to down an injured survivor with him is just reminiscent of Legion right now who is the worst killer in the game.

Final blow just looks like an un-counterable power. Killer instinct shows through lockers, which means you literally can't hide anywhere from Victor.

If he insta-downed everyone on successful pounces, I would win the match as Twins since I rarely miss any.

Your suggested nerf is too strong, and his buff is too strong to compensate for it.

    I'd say...

    1) Just give Victor a 30 second sunset period of being immune to kicks from when he is released. This would encourage long-range attacks which are more fun and what was intended with him anyway.

    2) Allow him to be recalled at any time. He recharges his immunity while attached to charlotte.

    3) Once he's out for 30 secs, he can be kicked at ANY time.

    4) Allow him to chain pounces/jumps (super fun i'd imagine) from 1 survivor to another and cause deep wounds on any pounces. Grappling onto a healthy survivor won't automatically revert control to Charlotte.

    5) Deep wounds bar automatically depletes regardless of running/moving while Victor is gnawing on your head (a real threat now).

Thanks for the constructive criticism, I'll keep it in mind.
