Suggestion for key reworks

Assuming that keys aren't being heavily reworked as we speak, how about this for an idea for reworking keys:

-Keys are personal use only, i.e. only the survivor with the key may escape

-Only green keys may be brought into a trial, keys that can actually open hatch are limited to chests

-Additionally, keys can only be looted from chests when survivors have perks/effects that increase rarity of chest pulls, e.g. Plunderer's Instinct. Opening a chest without such a perk prohibits pulling any keys but green keys.

-Once hatch is closed, it doesn't reopen except for another key (the scenario I have in mind here is one in which there are 2 survivors, one leaves with a key and then hatch immediately reopens for the 2nd survivor since there's only 1 survivor left in the trial).

The point here is if survivors want to key out of the game, they have to both invest a perk into it and actually spend time in the match looking for a key in chests so it feels more 'earned'.

  • There's still the acheivement for all four survivors escaping through the hatch.

I think they just need to remove the "number of gens completed equals survivors +1" thing.

Just have it as a flat "all 5 gens" or "last remaining survivor", nothing else.

That will eliminate the most frustrating scenario. 3 gens done, 2 remaining survivors, who just vanish.

Survivors can still all escape through the hatch, they just have to complete all the gens.

The hatch should be an alternative exit, not an alternative to repairing generators.
