Should there be some sort of perk to help killers passively control gens?

Most generator control perks in DBD are pgtw, pgtw, or pgtwop (and sometimes ruin), which will only help you if you're already doing well enough to get hooks. And that's great, but survivors have perks like fast track to help them get a leg up when the game isn't going too hot. Shouldn't killers have another mode of generator control than pop, one that's more passive and one that helps you rebound instead of being based off of you doing well as the killer? Maybe a perk where, if in a chase, all generators in your terror radius have their repair rates slowed down significantly. Maybe a perk where after a generators are completed, all survivors are exposed for x seconds. Maybe have it based off of generator blocking instead of regression.

no im not talking about noed

  • Ruin does exactly what you describe, no? Passive generator regression at all times when a Survivor is no actively repairing it, with the only Killer involvement being preventing the totem from being broken.

Don't really need more than that.

Only on generators that aren't being repaired (which is pretty much none). The ruin playstyle is exclusive to those killers who can either end chases very quickly or defend territory very well, since survivors aren't going to just sit around. I was thinking of something to actually forestall generators popping.

Any specific details? I imagine that would feel very annoying and unfair to go against as Survivor. Imagine if you were about to hook a Survivor, but the hook breaks itself right before you can put them on because of a perk the Survivor you're carrying has equipped. Same deal.

  • Requires a Second Survivor's cooperation and presence nearby, I'm talking about a perk you could equip that would do it automatically to save yourself.

I'm trying to be vague. It'll have to be pretty complex, so that even if it is effective, it won't be a NOED-esque carry and it won't be in-your-face to prevent toxicity.

  • My thought would be to begin regressing gens that have not been recently (within the past 60 or so seconds) worked on by x% every y seconds.
