Don't get excited with the Coldwind reworks
A theme that I've noticed with these map remasters, except maybe Ormond, is that they're unabashedly survivor sided. Yes, there's new dead zones on some of these maps, but does that really do anything for the killer? All the survivors have to do is not run to the dead zone. They should know the maps just like the killer has to. The same broken loops are on all these remastered maps, and in some cases god loops were reintroduced form an old version, with the breakable wall excuse of course. "Just break the wall." But then the survivor gets away because I stop to do that. The god loop still served its function: to waste a guaranteed amount of the killer's time, in a game where the killer doesn't have enough time as it is. The Coldwind remaster is gonna be the exact same thing. Stunning visuals, but god awful map design. Every map but Rotten Fields gets a new breakable wall god loop. So if you thought Thompson House or Fractured Cowshed was getting fixed, you're gonna be sorely disappointed. I see survivors trying to use up all their farm map offerings thinking the maps are gonna be nerfed. Don't bother.

breakable walls (at least the ones that matter, the others you can just ignore) are predropped pallets, run brutal strength if you have that big of a problem with it or break the wall preemptively
in fact the orignal removal of the god loops was only temporary for when htey added the breakable walls, the devs literally said this when they were developing breakable walls
From the dev update where they said they were adding them
Everyone says they didn't really change the maps much just the graphics. Heard it from several streamers.
Read my post.
Macmillan and autohaven are "unabashedly survivor sided"? What dimension are you playing this game in? Macmillan stayed the same, the maps are either balanced or killer favoured (shelter woods) with the exception being probably Storehouse. They added a pallet back to main as well as the breakable wall, and the map layout is awful, hold W into one of the areas that has several connected jungle gyms and away from everything else on the map because lol fun. If you chase them you lose. If you don't, the match drags on for 20 minutes and nobody's having fun.
Autohaven has so many dead zones and awful RNG that it's almost never survivor favoured. Maybe gas heaven is on a good day.
And ah yes, just don't run to the deadzone, the only place you can run to that won't get you hit if the killer's chasing you that way, just run into the killer and give them a free hit I guess.
Corn make have always been tilted to favour Survivors
Well I don't know if you this but their ideas are stupid. Killers had a good thing going not having to deal with god loops, and now they're back. Why are they in this game, seriously? They're too strong for your basic killers like Trapper and Legion, but are inconsequential to Nurse and Spirit. These loops are bad game design, because they require game knowledge but not skill, and they waste a guaranteed amount of the killer's time, once again, in a game where killers are pressed for time. Breakable walls done right are like the walls at Dead Dawg Saloon's killer shack and TL. It gives the killer an advantage for breaking what is normally a strong loop for survivors. It wastes time yes, but those loops are significantly crippled and aren't much once those walls are broke. Is that unfair to the survivors? I don't think so. The killer deserves to get something for doing actions that spend their precious time, not fixing a broken map that should have been fixed anyway.
From what I saw from people playing the ptb, some of the already strong loops got even stronger which just baffles me.
