Another spirit rework idea
Wow a spirit rework idea?! Clearly the forums haven't seen something similar before! Such a unique idea!
In all seriousness, me and a couple of friends expressed our thoughts, completely randomly, about spirit and pointed out what makes her unfun in our opinion and how can we fix that. So, I'm going to do the obvious original thing and post it on the forums, because you know, we haven't had a spirit rework idea for about a week now have we?
So let's get started:
Spirit, in our opinion, is unfun because she gives no information whatsoever that the survivors can work with, and she's free to spam her power freely without having any short of penalities when missusing it. So here's what we thought:
First of all, spirit is a 32 meter terror radius killer and you can hear her phasing sound both in and out of her terror radius. Her sound in her power is non-directional and whenever she hits a survivor she get the "legion treatment" meaning half of her power recharge bar will be drained. So what do these changes do?
It causes mass chaos, because now the survivors know that the spirit is phasing, but they have to predict where she's phasing or hear/watch the grass moving and her footsteps. We believe that her concept as an invisible ghost should remain, but make it more difficult to land a hit. When you phase the survivor knows you're phasing but you still have the element of surprise, because they can't see you. So you need to use scratch marks in combination with her non-directional sound to predict where the survivor is, and the survivor needs to use their environment to their advantage and be completely unpredictable. If the spirit gets a hit, she can't simply rephrase resulting in an easy and fast down. She'll have to wait patiently for her bar to refill for 10 secs min. She should have a 32 meters tr so the survivors have a small window of opportunity to prepare or escape from her.
Originally we had an idea to make her like nurse, where she would need to either swing or go to fatigue, but that would make her too similar to nurse so we scratched that. Another idea was to make her semi-invisible like wraith but that would make her a reversed wraith and extremely weak. So this rework is probably the best we can come up with to not erase her design as an unseen threat, but give survivors some info to work with. A 3000$ gaming chair and 5000$ headphones won't be as effective this time.
Any thoughts? Let me know below.

I just want the sound bug back where you could hear the Spirit every 2 and half seconds for about .5 seconds. Just enough time to be able to try and juke. That's all she really needs. Her speed is still good enough to loop back around but now you can try to mindgame with both sides instead of a free hit for one side.
