The Sunk Cost Fallacy
So, the latest reasoning for why the Devs won't revert unpopular changes is because "There was too much invested to go back." This is a mistake many people have made, myself included. The fact of the matter is, if an unpopular choice remains and continues to be unpopular, attempting to keep it around and sink more resources into it is simply a waste. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses, and I wish and hope the devs see that.

I think the irony is that Dbd runs on the sunk cost fallacy. Ppl have spent too much time, money and energy to let it go.
For me its more of an unfortunate addiction. Like Heroin.
