questions about undying changes
From what I understand, the first hex being cleansed will 100% NOT be undying, it will be the other hex perk and so undying will replace the hex that has been cleansed, but if there's 3 hexes, so it's a 50/50 chance right? and 33/33/33 if 4 hex build.
Haunted grounds can only be used twice now?
Why remove the aura reading on burning totems?

It's not clear how it will interact with Haunted Grounds since it creates 2 hex totems. The way it will work with others is that if Undying gets cleansed nothing is changed. If another hex is cleansed instead of a dull totem the Undying will be replaced by it, so it can only trigger once. But if you look at it, in both the current version and the upcoming version you need to find both the Hex you want to destroy and the Undying to destroy it so it's not as big of a change as people make it out to be.
Aura reading of Undying was just too good. The perk gave you information that helped immensely at protecting your totem and even if you failed it revived it on another dull. Now you don't get that information but you can still see random survivors who pass dull totems which has always been nice.
Undying still spawns as a hex totem on the map. It's just now if a totem other than itself is cleansed while it is active, it will die instead and the hex cleansed will take over the spot undying spawned at.
Basically all it does is make sure that Undying is the first totem to die.
Imo Undying should no longer be a Hex perk since it does absolutely nothing if it's cleansed first. Just have it be a regular perk that gives you 1 Hex respawn. I mean at this point, why would you not use Thrill of the Hunt instead of undying? At least that gives you a notification and actually defends your totems.
I agree
Undying not being a Hex perk would change nothing except give 1 extra dull totem for the aura reading.
And to your second point, you better believe my new Hex build is Ruin/Undying/TOTH/Devour Hope...
They removed it's undying effect and it's defense effect basically.
I get removing one of those things, but removing both was plain overkill.
W/e no point talking about it anyways, bhvr is going to do what they want to do, regardless of how anyone feels about it so it's better to just let it go.
Still don't see why Undying needs a change though. It does what it's meant to do, it just Survivors refusing to adapt to a new playstyle.
It not being a Hex perk would keep it from being destroyed before it actually protects another Hex totem. As of now it can be removed before it has any effect.
Not really a great build tbh. You're fully relying on totem RNG. Might as well use Haunted Ground instead of Undying at that point.
The Undying update means that no matter what, Undying is always cleansed first. That is it's whole purpose. That is the exact same effect that you are describing with the 1 respawn thing.
