Spirit
Always when i read about Spirit, they say, it's so easy to play this killer, it's auto-win. Yet i can not play her, i tried it several times, with stridor. Even when i hear the survivors, i always get misdirected and spawn too far away to lunge attack and against better survivors, they just outplay me. I don't have the problem with other killers, where i can see where they are running.
So, what am i doing wrong?

Yeah, stridor screws up the distance that you can hear them from.
Only ever comes in handy when they have iron will. Which is surprisingly not terribly often.
Trust me, she isn't as easy as people claim. Spirit's one of those killers some people can learn and adapt to a lot quicker than others because her power is unique and requires this specific skillset that some people naturally don't have. Best thing to do is to keep practicing her and keep experimenting with new tricks. You should be fine as long as you put in the time and effort.
It's because sounds suck hot dirty unwashed diarrhea ass in this game. You have to learn how to track without sounds and learn to predict movements. Once you do that then you can start to rely on sounds just for confirmation.
Some spirit players use equalizers to isolate steps and grunts of pain from the barrage of sounds that can happen in a chase.
If you're not used to using your ears as much as your eyes when playing killer then you will probably be a bit lost when you try out Spirit tbf. But locating survivors is something you should be practicing with every other killer. That's why she's so easy to play: you're not doing anything special with her, you're just listening out for survivors (although tbf sounds can be awful in this game so you're at the mercy of the game functioning correctly half the time).
You'll get used to it eventually, you just have to be more confident in locating survivors via sound, something you're practicing all the time. Having a general idea of where a survivor is running to also helps, which is something else you do with every killer.
All you have to do is follow them to a loop and 50/50. Easy as can be, even easier than Forever Freddy. And when you start to learn environmental ques, it gets even worse, because instead of a 50/50 it becomes more like 70/30.
Get rid of stridor for a while. Or maybe for good.
Don't swing right after phasing. Use her power to get into survivor's location and chase normally.
One important trick that most survivors can't handle. They can't hear you phasing when they are in your terror radius. So when you in ~25 meters away from gen, you can phase and get survivors off guard. You can phase while loop to quickly get closer to survivor, because he doesn't know if you phasing. And it's also good to have nurse calling for surpise attacks, works everytime.
Good survivors can still counterplay it by running from gens early and gaining distance when spirit is clearly out of power. Survivor should be extremely attentive vs spirit. This is why everyone hates to play against her.
I can play with the red googles, but what is the point if so many people have spine chill? Yes, even when i look in another direction in my terror radius, they just jump up before i can pick them up. It's just bonkers, spine chill works against spirit.
I will never understand people equipping stridor on spirit when survivors are all you can hear during haunting, and damn does it make survivors loud
