Perk Changes | Monstrous Shrine

Monstrous Shrine

At the start of the Trial 3 random Hooks are chosen to be "Shrine" Hooks.

Hooking a Survivor on "Shrine" Hooks grants the following bonuses:

  • Survivors are unable to unhook themselves and the Entity progress is 10% faster.
  • Gain 50/75/100% more Bloodpoints for actions in the Sacrifice category.

The bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post-Trial.

Personally, I think Monstrous Shrine should work more like the Trapper's Add-on(s), i.e. it can injure the Unhooker. See below:

    1. The Broken Status is applied to the unhooked Survivor for 30/45/60 depending on Level.
    2. The Unhooker must go through a Skill Check to unhook the Survivor. A Great success means unhook as normal, a Good success means you unhook them but are injured in the process. A failed Skill check means you are injured, and they are not unhooked, and must try again.
  • I'd suggest more effects, this would make it slightly less useless.

But more effects would be needed on the special hooks to make it worth the effort of getting survivors on them.

  • Add to the mix:

    • Upon falling sabotaged shrine hooks will damage any survivors in its vicinities.

Interesting idea! So if the Unhooker get's the unhook while Healthy, will it still apply the Broken? Or only when failing the Skill Check?

Wouldn't it just be a worse MYC?

  • It would be more potent. Currently the Perk is 100% useless. :)

  • I think there are better reworks, also i like the idea of it being basement related. here is mine i think it is ok as far as balance goes.

monstrous shrine: For each survivor hooked in the basement all repair, healing, and cleaning speed is reduced by 10%/15%/20% when you are 28 meters away from the basement and you gain the haste status effect. Survivors in the basement suffer from the oblivious status effect.

  • So would it completely disable deliverance or would that be the exception?
