Freddy’s snairs are so annoying and so unfun to go up against

just Put down a few snairs on a very safe loop and then it becomes not so safe just had a game like this and it makes me happy that the devs are looking into Freddy

  • You can make the same argument for any trap based power, or clown's bottles. It's good that snares are being nerfed (hopefully) but the aim should be making them more difficult to use than making them useless.

Well a lot of the Freddy’s I go up against put a lot of snairs down at one loop just to get me it’s annoying because otherwise without this power that they can spam down and slow me down they definitely wouldn’t have got me

Yeah, because Freddy's snares are braindead to use in their current state, require no investment and can't really be countered. If they changed the snares to require more thought; say, they start off small but over like 30 seconds grow into massive snares, or Freddy gets significantly slowed when placing one, or something like that, they'd be more tolerable. As long as they are still strong when used well, otherwise what's the point?

That’s my problem there brain dead lol just slow him down when placing them

  • Its an issue that he can just drop 2 snares at a an undropped pallet jungle gym and make the entire tile worthless in 2 seconds. I actually think they slow for a bit too long myself.

I think its more that every other trap type power or stun at loops has a form of counterplay built in. With Freddy if the snare is placed down it immediately locks the loop off or makes you waste the pallet.

It also doesnt require picking up a resource to use (Trapper), taking your eyes off the chase (Hag) or slowing down and potentially losing LOS and distance if the survivor predicts your power (Doctor) or needing to reload if you misuse your power (Clown and Huntress). They're unlimited and can be recycled with no loss at all. If Freddy places a snare badly he loses nothing as he can just replace it or place another right next to it.
