The Twins feel weak and the power is abusable for survivors, also some changes i'd like to see.
So watching game play I think my current thoughts so far is that because of how victor works himself this killer is kinda weak.
For abusing the killer i noticed some survivors not taking victor off and while its nice that you can know survivor locations thats too weak and if you want your power back you have to go after the one with victor on them. This basically takes away the good part of your power so it turns you into a basic M1 killer. Lockers are also a major counter and while a lot of players like this it's not good at all for the killer in fact when you do that it just wastes too much time for no benefit.
what makes them weak? switching from victor to the other twin takes so long that almost no plays can be made even if the survivor is right on you as long as there's something for them to go to you can't punish it. Victor is also way too killable for making a mistake so unless you can land every attack a good survivor will end victor on the spot after you miss. Victor also dies when you go on a object and that should be changed so a single mistake doesn't waste all that time and because allowing victor to be on objects as long as your controlling him is cool and fun for both sides. Victor also needs to get onto a survivor or it feels really inconvenient to use him when he is just out in the open, a good change i would like to see is being able to call Victor back to you when you need him. Lastly again lockers just take away the threat of Victor.
So in short these are what i'd like to see along with what i think are a few oversights
- something for Victor to do to survivors who enter lockers, a simple blocking them in for X seconds could work.
- recalling Victor to you so you don't have to either wait for him to return or use him in a weird situation
- let Victor be on objects as long as your controlling him that solves the issue of survivors not being able to crush him on objects which is i assume why you made him die on them.
- A more negative effect for having Victor on you so it is better for the killer instead of for the survivor by taking away the killers power, perhaps even being able to recall him when he is on a survivor may be necessary.
- a faster waking up from dormant state for charlotte because it is so slow you can't punish a survivor in front of you unless they literally have no where to go.
- maybe depending on how he is changed, decrease the time a survivor has to kick Victor or instead increase his hitbox.
- whoever victor is attached to should also have their location revealed, i feel like that is a big oversight.
- Ramps counter victor too hard by stopping his pounce and resulting in you getting kicked that should be addressed
There are situations where the killer is good like in a 1v1 or when you close the hatch and camp both gates but in a 4v1 aspect the twins are not the best especially if they decide not to take victor off. The Twins are also just... slow, having to go across the map to get the survivor you downed takes a lot of time and while you can slug the point is no matter where you downed someone it is just slow to get to them. This is a cool design for a killer and it can work it just needs some tweaks based on game play and that's what the PTB is there for.
Comments
it might be a bug but so far you don't see who Victor is on.
even it does show the killer instinct effect i think they should reveal the aura of whoever victor is attached too.
I think you are not using her in the right way, dont use your power when they are healty, is a slugging killer, when at least 3 ppl are injured go and down all of them, and if one guy decide to keep victor, go for the others, he cant do gens and game becomes 3v1
This was addressing the other issues, im aware that Victor is good at that but the main concern is having him disabled because a survivor decided to have him as a friend. it is not worth basically not having a power to disable one survivor.
Also there are a lot of QOL things that should be given to this killer, you can't deny that it feels very inconvenient switching between the two killers especially if Victor is not in you.
that's why i said the killer concept is good it just needs improvement as there are oversights and things that make the killer too weak like you can simply stop the killer from having a slug fest by going into a locker.
Please put all of this towards the feedback section of the PTB so that the devs get the information.
sure how do i do that? Actually if a mod see's this can you guys do it? @MandyTalk
I'm pretty sure at the top of the page where the link for the PTB. Use the like and it should take you to another list of links. One of them says "how to give feedback" and it will take you to the page where feedback is given. I hope that helps.
I know where the feedback page is i just want to have the thread moved there.
edit: never mind i'll just recreate the post there, spread the awareness.
Put this in feedback. That's why there is a feedback section.
Also, Its on the PTB....for testing! So, provide feedback to the correct channels
i created a post in ptb feedback, i can't or at least couldn't figure out how to move this to feedback. mods can and that's why i tagged a mod previously.
Fair enough
The twins definitely need some QoL changes but not buffs, the twins have a lot of power strategy behind them.
People forget that Charlotte can body block, at any loop, block the door or pallet and use Victor.
The best strategy so far that I’ve done is Gen Grabbing (ish). I run Monitor and Abuse to get as close as possible to a gen, use Victor to scout, if they’re working on a gen free injure, if not, hide Victor, Killer instinct will alert you if they come across.
Theres so many strategies to them but you have to play differently.
a counter to that is just running into a locker nearby, charlotte can't recover fast enough to hit you even if your next to her as long as there is something nearby so just being weird with movement and going to a locker is enough to counter Victor then you just rush out and YEET THE BABY before doing a normal chase.
Iron Maiden.
Also I don’t use Victor as a long chase tool, no matter what I stay as close as possible to Victor. Also Victor’s cool down is like 5 seconds, it doesn’t matter if they kick him.
your not always getting the hit in 15 seconds, its wishful thinking that using that perk will significantly help you much less that you will get it to activate the insta down once survivors get used to this killer.
unless your close to the survivor in the best situation that perk does nothing because as soon as a survivor notices you switched to charlotte they go and crush victor.
edit: also as soon as a survivor notices your still controlling victor they can just rush back into a locker XD iron maiden wont do anything simply because of that and its short duration.
Because he gives killer instinct, I don't really think he is supposed to be used mid-chase. Having to switch to him, then land a relatively hard attack (that is punishing to miss), and then go land another M1? You might as well have done two M1's.
I will probably just leave him near a 3 gen somewhere and when killer instinct activates you ambush them with the baby.
And what happens if they jump in lockers or group together to kill Victor while he's stunned? I do agree that her general playstyle will be to injure the survivors herself, then send out Victor, but
1) that means she's just an m1 killer for most of the trial and has to hope they don't heal or spread out or play safe or slam gens.
2) it's not even possible with Victor in his current state thanks to the aforementioned counterplay.
this actually works?
He can down injured survivors without having to lose control.
He's hard as balls to land a hit I always miss lol
