Furtive Chase and Second Wind are both bad perks with the exact same problems
These two perks share the exact same three traits that make them bad.
- They both require conditions to be met that are hard to get
- They both give benefits that are only useful in certain situations and even in those situations can be worse for you
- They both can be complete useless if rather common conditions happen.
For Furtive Chase, The first problem is the fact that you have to hook the obsession and just the obsession, the second problem is a reduction of TR in a chase without getting rid of the red stain is almost completely worthless, and the third problem is that if the obsession dies, the perk deactivates.
For Second Wind, the first problem is that you have heal someone for one entire health state, which means if you are facing someone who instadowns or inflicts broken, you are screwed. The second problem is while auto healing off a hook is nice, the problem is that if you got unhooked, you teammate is right there to heal you, but now can't because the perk inflicts broken for some reason. The third problem is that the perk becomes useless after your second hook which means that at most you will heal two health states compared to Inner Strength's max of five and Self Care's unlimited amount.
If they wanted to fix both of these perks, they need to make the cost worth the reward. For example, they could make Furtive Chase decrease the TR at all times, or make Second Wind passively heal you up instead of inflicting broken. If you have any more ideas on how to fix both of these perks, please share them.

I actually made a post of how to fix second wind here’s my change
After performing a safe hook rescue on another survivor, Second wind activates.
While second wind is activated, The next time you are unhooked or you unhook yourself, After a total duration of 10/5/0 seconds, Second wind automatically heals you from injured to healthy.(if you are broken second wind doesn’t activate.)
This perk can be used 2 times in one match.
Theyre both perks that work better when paired. Furtive works just fine with Nemesis. And Second Wind with any healing build.
Though Furtive still has the burning question of why do I want a smaller TR when it's only active inside a chase when being IN a chase is already buggy. I've "lost" people while they're still in my line of sight.
Second wind is better than Furtive chase, no question there. the problem with furtive chase is why you would run it. The only use I found for it was to combo it with rancor to grind out obsessions hooks before I unlocked Nemesis.
