Inspired By Another Discussion: Temporary Recordings

Because players need video evidence to be able to show that someone's being a bad boy, rather than relying on the general player to always be recording their own gameplay, the game can add their own kind of recording, and do it in such a way so the game won't be flooded with recordings that show nothing of interest while also not having to take video editing into consideration.

So from the moment the trial starts, the game records the trial from the perspectives of all players.

As you may know, as long as there's one person still left in the trial, even at the scoreboard screen, the "group" hasn't really disbanded yet, you are still able to report after the other 4 have already left.

So as long as this "group" hasn't disbanded, the recordings are still available, but will be gone once the final player leaves.

When reporting a player, it automatically attaches the recording to that report and will be sent.

Optionally, they could make it so your perspective is also attached when you report someone, to show you've nothing to hide.

Reports would gain a huge boost in validity, "evidence" added to reports would go up from the current lowest possible percentages (i'd wager) to 100%, and there can be no concerns about the footage having been edited.

I am not a programmer, not at all, but how plausible does this seem to add, my dear reader?

Oh, also: How good or bad of an addition would it even be?

This is a great idea. Ngl just like fortnite built i in recording this would be great to check if a players cheating.

  • Yeah a lot of games have a system like this and it's great for combating cheating

  • This would be great, it would make the moderation team save a lot of time and be more efficient.

I hope the team have the resources to make it possible if they like that.
