Surge need a buff soon
If devs don't want to remove cooldown at least increase distance in which generators explodes, the penalty 7% for gens on a range 32 meters is insufficient for justified so many inconveniences.
My proposal:
Putting a Survivor into the Dying State with a Basic Attack causes all Generators within a radius of 64 metres to instantly explode and regress.
Surge applies an immediate Regression penalty of 7 %.
Surge can only be triggered once every 60/50/40 seconds.

I rather remove the cooldown completely instead.
It's actually surprisingly usable for me especially with Surveillance as a niche slowdown perk on certain maps. The biggest downside for me is that it doesn't feel strong enough on map variations that are too damn large that 32m doesn't even cover the closest loop to a generator where you down the guy.
Also it completes against Brutal Strength + Pop goes the Weasel which just works better and people don't really have space to run Brutal+Surveillance (nor a reason to...) and in deals who need to break pallets naturally (not chainsaw or shred) it leans towards one side
Yes but apparently this game its way to being a game with cooldowns on killers and perks...so bored..
BHVR's terrified of making strong viable perks, especially if they're Killer perks. Dragon's hold is a perfect example (one of Blight's perks) that have three (3) cooldowns in one perk. Slapping a cooldown on a perk in order to gimp it and hold it back is just lazy game design.
Half-baked, underwhelming perks don't cause problems after all. When you try to design good perks and you overshoot it, you have to spend time fixing the mess they cause. But when you design crappy perks and overhsoot, you get a decent one sometimes, like Surge. Good enough to be used on some characters, but still too gimped to shake the meta.
And if you are truly a master perk designer you try your best to make new perks that sound like they might be good with the use of seemingly complicated effects and long wordings, so players get hyped up for the new content, but who really are the same bland filler perks that nobody will use after a few days and the meta go back to the way it is. 🤡
I rather have them make actually impactful perks that shake things up than playing safe. BHVR have let the game's META be so stale that every game's the same.
