is Demo an evil killer?
Demogorgon purely kills out of instinct, it's what he was created to do. He sees someone, he kills them because to him it's food.
So could you argue that Demo isn't actually an evil killer but rather just kills out of instinct?

It is literally mindless. In order to be evil, you would have to be self-aware enough to make the decision to be selfish. It cannot.
Not evil. Being evil means that you have skewed morals or a sense of right and wrong, but still doing the wrong thing.

Demo might not be evil in the dictionary definition of the word but I'm not sure how much comfort that's going to be to you when you get sacrificed to The Entity :D
It really doesn’t even say how it got here in the lore, just that being a hunting machine makes it perfect for the entity.
Lets be honest, it’s all about the License and the popularity on Demo/stranger things. All of the other killers had a sadistic streak or some sort of motivation to become “evil,” the Demo doesn’t fit that mold if it wasn’t a hugely popular franchise it wouldn’t be here.
Well this begs the question is the original universe canon to this game or would it run on a separate canon for the game since if its the former then its still under the control of the mindflayer and its strong enough to break into the entity's dimension if its the latter the enitiy either snatched it up and overridden the mindflayers control.
